I saw Midnight In The Garden Of Good An Evil on one of the movie channels the other day, so I had to sit and watch it again.
It's the story of a wealthy southern man, who kills his gay lover in self defense and then goes on trail. Besides being a long movie, I can find no flaws ...( read more)with it. It is a great story. The ending reminds me a little bit of the Ed Norton film,Primal Fear. Knowing what you know and learning how to deal with it.
I do like Clint Eastwood, as a director. He seldom does wrong when he gets behind the camera. John Cusack is my all time favorite actor. He could be reading the phone book on film and I would watch it. I also really like Kevin Spacey. I think he is a brilliant talent. Both of them gave wonderful performances in this film. Allison Eastwood is very pretty and she gave a decent performance as Mandy. I can see why she decided to follow in her dad's footsteps.
If you haven't seen Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil, I highly recommend it. Or even if you have seen it, it is worth watching again.

this film is slow going and nothing too eleberate happens but you are strangely pulled into the place and the characters within the place. it's an odd little film that i think you have to watch to understand.

I agree with some other Flixster users. With a talented bunch in this fillm, including the director, i thought this film would be great. But like i've found out a few other times, Clint Eastwood produces slow and drawn out films that loses the interests of the audience.
John Cu...( read more)sack and Kevin Spacey deliever brilliant performances and although the film was slow, the storyline was pretty interesting and not predictable.
An ok film, if you can spare 2 and half hours.

I like all the characters in this movie, especially Lady Chablis. Of course, Kevin Spacey was hot too.
