Like Flixster says, "Midway feels more like a history lesson than a drama". Still, it is history I am only vaguely aware of, so that is fine, but the movie seems long. There are a lot of famous faces in the movie. This film uses a lot of actual battle footage.

This is one of my favorite war movies about the fall of the Janpanese Imperial Navy in WWII. It is start packed and many really live action shots where used in teh filming, and Henry Fonda, played the role of "CICPAC" twice in this movie, the first time, being in "In Harm's Way" ...( read more)

There where four Japanese carriers, three on fire. Japanese pilots return to the only carrier left, they see the others on fire and are surprised. So they must have had their eyes closed when they landed on the carrier?

hey it was on Italian Tv today. It's full of stars and it's well done (2WW real scenes are ok in such kind of movies). Both visions (USA and JAPAN) of the battle give the right mood.

Pearl Harbor should have learned its' lesson from Midway--don't throw in a love triangle or a forbidden love subplot into a movie. If you want it to be a date movie, just make it historically accurate and compelling and let the chips fall where they will. I like the film, apart f...( read more)
