This is as much of a "talk" movie as My Dinner With Andre, with the advantage that three people are having this conversation instead of two, and that they rove around the beautiful scenery of Mont St. Michel, an island monastery off the coast of France, instead of staying in a New York restaurant. Sam Waterston is a conservative senator who has just lost a bid for the presidency, so he's feeling disillusioned and low.
