Q: What do you get when you cross bad acting, cheapo visual effects, dropped plotlines, pointless scenes, poor camera work, a completely unnecessary narration, a lame theme song, a monster that looks like Lurch with teenage acne, a vocal track that sounds like the mic was in a bucket, and an ending that seems like they were running short of film so just quickly wrapped things up?
A: Monster A Go-Go! A piece of crap Ed Wood would be proud of. The quality of the production only warrants one star, but I gave it an extra one for entertaiinment value, as it was a hoot to sit through. One of those "so bad it's good" flicks.
UPDATE! -- Found out (thanks IMDB) that this film was only partially made by Bill Rebane, in 1961. Seems Rebane ran out of money. H.G. Lewis (of Blood Feast fame) picked up the pieces in 1965 and completed it. That explains the pointless scenes and dropped plotlines at least. Lewis even supplied the narration. The mind reels at what it would have been like had Rebane finished it on his own....
