The voice cast is hilarious while the 3D doesn't overpower the movie, it's enhances the movie experience. Definitely a must-see for kids & adults.

Monsters vs Aliens is skilfully animated and spasmodically funny, but you get the impression the film?s seven (!) writers ran out of ideas two-thirds of the way through.

Not as good as I was expecting it to see. The voice actors were pretty appropriate picks, Seth as a blob, Hugh as a cockroach scientist.

The kids loved it. It was fairly funny, and had some good references to old 50's sci-fi. Didn't see it in 3D, or in the theatre.

A meteoric let down. The writers of Monsters vs. Aliens seem to confuse references with jokes. Copyied scenes or paraphrased lines from popular science fiction films, do not constitute a good sense of humour. All it demonstrates is a very unimaginative piece of cinema. The only t...( read more)hing less inspired is the predictable vocal cast. None of these actors deserve the paycheck for the amount of effort they put into this. Colbert is a particularly noticeable stand out when it comes to piss poor delivery. Monster's vs Aliens to cookie cutter Dreamworks tripe. A few decent characters, some mildly amusing moments, but overall, this is forgettable dross.

A few years ago I'd have probably given this 7/10 because it's watchable and mildly amusing. I'm just getting cynical with age, I suppose. It's a pretty good premise that starts out fairly well but soon devolves into sub-Saturday-morning-cartoon territory. The humour is hit and m...( read more)iss, never amazing... but I tell you what, Seth Rogen is brilliantly cast as BOB. I expected to dislike his voice-acting because Seth Rogen's suddenly in everything and I'm not a big fan of A-list voice-actors in films... but he was definately the best thing about this film.

BOB and Insectzilla were both great, everything else varied from bad to mediocre. There were also too many shots obviously designed to work in 3D.

    Personal enjoyment: 5/10

Actual quality as a film: 5/10

Excellent, witty dialogue. Sometimes Ginormica is annoying, but overall works well with the other characters.

Great entertainment. The jokes kept coming, but the plot was weak. The movie moved because of its moments. Insectasaurus is amazing!

Didn't interest me as much as other recent CGI movies.
