You either love it (Ni!) and quote it to death (Ni!) or you loathe it (Ni!) Delightfully absurd, good for your brain after a crappy day at the office. But then, if you work with a bunch of nerds who quote Monty Python all day, this movie might drive you batshit crazy. Excuse my F...( read more)rench. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!!!!

Absolutely one of my favorite comedies. I love the bickering, pointlessness and frustration that composes this movie. It is just completely absurd way to look at the tale of King Arthur. I love the poking of religion, done flawlessly (not the typical outright attack). The charact...( read more)ers are so unique and pleasing in their own way. Just the style of the movie is so warm and open, you can't resist loving it. It allows you to laugh at life and really look at everything as one big, well conceived joke. Monty Python is one of those comedy teams that were so ahead of their time, they always managed to stay away from idiot humor. You actually have to be a thinking person to enjoy the brilliance of the plot.

  • November 11, 2009
This is absolute genius! It's ridiculously silly, very clever and pant-wettingly, face-achingly, rib-burstingly funny. It's definitely the most hilarious Python film and possibly the silliest, most fun film ever. I utterly adore it.

very funny take on the Arthurian legend, that has given me even more quotes... that I am sure I say far too often... starring the men of Monty Python. Cleese, Palin and Idle will forever be three of my favorite actors. comedy geniuses!

  • October 28, 2009
This is the most ridiculous film ever, or that i can think of at present. Completely silly, this goofy flick remains solely as one that i will continually quote at random in casual conversation, until i die.

These guys were never funnier than when they made this parody of King Arthur and his ka-nig-its. From the Black Knight who considers being amputated as a "flesh wound", to the horny maidens of Castle Anthrax, to the Killer Rabbit and the Pit of Eternal Peril, this film is hysteri...( read more)cal all the way through. You'd think after all the times I've seen this, I wouldn't continue to find it funny. But after probably two dozen viewings, I still laugh out loud. Even the credits and the intermission have me almost in tears!

On a side note, I was thinking on my most recent vewing how amazing it is that these six men (seven if you count Neil Innes), could have found each other, it makes you believe miracles exist. And the world is a happier place because of it.

And for those of you who don't "get" Monty Python or don't think they're funny....go watch Jackass or Will Ferrell's most recent crapfest.

Such stupid humor but so great!!!!!
  • October 23, 2009
the second best (in my humble opinion) comedy of the Monty Pythons, after the insurmountable "The Life of Brian". it's one of the comedies you want to watch again and again. Unmissable.
  • October 23, 2009
Anyone that doesn't like Monty Python either doesn't get it, or is too stupid to understand the jokes... like that one
  • October 19, 2009
I'm going to make this happen soon!
  • October 18, 2009
Insanely wacky comedy, one of the best of the Monty Python films. Wonderfully written, hysterically funny performances. They did an amazing job with the budget they have. Many memorable scenes, not all scenes hit the mark however.
  • October 15, 2009
i cut all your arms off!
    Tis but a flesh wound!
  • October 11, 2009
IT JUST WINS. It's like parody-ing parody films! IT'S AWESOME!
