How can you not love Monty Python? "Always look on the bright side of life" has helped me when I have felt low. What I love about this film is that pretty much every scene is a classic in its own right!
Terry Jones and the Monty Python guys poke fun at an alternate version of the Christ story, the Brian story. Ha. "Romans go home!" This a parody of Ben Hur, incidentally.
great story mocking the life of Jesus. good acting by John cleese, Graham chapman,Terry Gilliam and Eric Idle. quite alot of comedy especially the suicide squad and i am not the messiah, i am the messiah. like the idea where Pilate can't prenonce R's so he has to say W instead. i recommend this to all Monty python lovers. not a film for really religous people.
life of brian has to be one of the funniest comdeys ever made and also the funniest comdey ever to of come out in the 1970`s. life of brian is way much better than monty phthon`s the meaning of life and also monty phthon and the holy grial. great acting by Graham Chapman and also Jonh Cleese. this film follows jesus at points of the film and also has a story within itself. life on brian is one of the funniest films i have ver seen one has to be one of the funniest comdey films of all time.
this is just an absolute great film u have to watch it over and over again just because its so gd. the alien bit near the start was a bit odd but well i bet no on one was expecting it lol. i would recomend it to everyone. all the MP films r great but this is the best.
lampooning farce and epic satire. it really has been too long since i've since this...monty python proves how nothing is sacred and everything's hilarious in this irreverent comedy that only these six geniuses could concoct. not quite as good as holy grail, but it's still funny. as a fewwow bwian, i appwove. haha.
Disappointing. Loved The Holy Grail and I had seen clips of this and thought I would love it too. The clips were the only funny bits and even then it only raised a smile or perhaps a small "heh". So yeah, disappointing.
The second best Monty Python movie. Its a shame that with The Meaning of Life they went back to more of a sketch type of comedy as The Holy Grail and this one proved they are funniest in a single story, and I'm a huge Python fan so thats quite the statement.
Life of Brian is another crazy Monty Python film with the same crude and dark humor and unbelievable creative situations dealing with famous and controversial topics. However, this comes to be somewhat insulting at times from my religious point of view. Although it is meant to be taken as a comedy, it fails on that point. Overall, it is a good, still distinguishable and hyperactive crazy flick.
La recomiendo, es muy buena, casi que la mejor de los Monty Python delante de Los Caballeros de la Mesa cuadrada. Es de las películas con las que mas me he reido.

It's just not that funny. It runs for too long, the storyline is boring and drags on and on, and some of the humour isn't executed well enough to get away with being crude.
IM sure this film is still causing controversy, though IM sure not as much as when it was released in the late 70's. Classic Python, love it or hate it.
