Julius (writer/director Sader) has devoted his entire life to assisting the developmentally disabled and caring for his close friends. He doesn't do these out of the kindness of his heart, however, he does them to distract himself from acknowledging the void that he feels somewhere deep within. But Julius' comfortable routine is suffers a crippling blow when, in short order, his girlfriend walks out, he's fired from his job, and his father figure suddenly dies. Jack was the only dad Julius ever knew; he took him in as his own when Julius' father died, and now in death he's willed him his sole asset - a run-down bar that should have been condemned years ago. Subsequently consumed by loneliness and desperation, Julius finds himself spending more and more time with Jack's estranged daughter Erica (Laura Keys). Erica is the queen of the "quick-fix" solution, and before long Julius is convinced that his life is still on the right track. But Erica's intentions may not be as noble as Julius initially assumes. Before long Julius has fallen in love with Erica, and he's thoughtlessly following her straight into the abyss. His money now lost to drugs and terrifying hallucinations causing him to quickly lose his grip on reality, Julius will have to look past the drugs and find out what's really corroding his soul if he ever hopes to step off this dangerous path and finally pull his life together. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Most High is about the very nature of addiction. It paints an eerily accurate picture of how a Normal Joe can quickly end up in the dankest pits of despair.
