Nick Mancuso does a pretty good job in his role and it's nice to see John Marley pop up here and there. Kim Basinger wasn't terrible, but not necessarily memorable. Luckily, she doesn't detract from the real star of the film which are the mountainsides of British Columbia along with the claustrophobia of muck-filled mine shafts. Murder and adventure set the tone.
