Physical comedy is extremely hard and demanding thing and in my books only comedic icons like Buster Keaton or Jacques Tati has succeeded with it. But to watch actors like Nathan Lane and Lee Evans trying to be funny while running and screaming is as funny as someone farting your face.
Gore Verbinski creates an interesting milieu for his film and that creepy old mansion where most of the film takes place definetly deserved a better story than this film has.
Mousehunt is annoying as hell and frustrating to sit through. There are no innovation here, there are no laughs of anykind and there is nothing that would make it worth to watch. Kids will possibly be more comapssionate towards it but for adult audience Mousehunt is just pure torture with crappy CGI.

Mediocre comedy that is slow with bad effects, Mouse Hunt simply doesn't have anything good going for it. The film was funny when first released, however it's not one of those films that has stood the test of time, and quite frankly got sillier with every viewing. I didn't enjoy the film, and I thought it was a poorly made comedy with little to no humor. One thing that made this film pretty boring was the fact that it took a while for anything funny to happen. The build up is slow, and you lose interest after a while. I found the cast to be tiresome and not too good in their performances. This is not Gore Verbinski's best film and he made better films than this. This is a comedy that simply doesn't stand out, and it's not one that delivers laughs time and time again. The film could have really great, but after seeing it once, it was enough. The problem with this film is that it's not a memorable comedy. There's nothing that stands out and like I said, it takes a while for the story to unfold. This could have been a great comedy, but it fails, and as far as family films are concerned, there are much better films out there to enjoy than this. I think this film had the potential in being a great film, but it simply doesn't deliver anything good for the entire family. If you're looking for a great family comedy watch Toy Story or The Sandlot instead, Mouse Hunt simply is an empty shell of a film, a film that leaves a lot to be desired. This is a mediocre film that has a few laughs here and there, but is never anything consistent to truly make it worth watching. The films biggest flaw is that it takes too long to get to the point and there's no real payoff. Not worth watching.

A always love this film when I was a child... now is just another silly, but some times clever movie that looks like a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Rotten.

This movie will please young kids with its stupid cat and mouse slapstick humor, but others will not find it funny.

It?s fun and it has its moments but is slightly marred by dodgy CGI!

This is the most funniest movie of the year for children and adult as what I think of a mouse is like Jerry in 'Tom and Jerry' cartoons.

This movie is an underrated movie and it's popularity is very small. Yes, it is a simple and predictable film, but it is just so funny. The story is incredibly hilarious. The way how it is made is funny, pure fun and this makes it incredibly entertaining. Nathan Lane is great as Ernie Smuntz and the same goes to Lee Evans as Lars.

it's fresh, it's hytericlly hillarious, it's a visually animated live action tom and jerry that will make you want to watch it again and again and again! A+

A hilarious tale of two brothers Ernie (Nathan Lane) and Lars Smuntz (Lee Evans) in need of money who have inherited an old house worth millions from their late father. As they start fixing it up, they realize it is inhabited by a mouse not willing to give it up without a fight, and so the battle for the house begins. I like the way the mouse always comes back; he appears to be more clever than either of them lol.
Christopher Walken stars as an obsessive exterminator (which was my favorite scene) who takes his job very seriously by trying to get inside the mouse's mind but this mouse is way too smart for even that.
May not be for all ages as it is full of not so subtle sexual innuendo but certainly recommended for those of us who will appreciate it for its witty humor and outrageous slapstick!

It was okay. Pretty funny in places. The ending is good.

A live action cartoon, and a hilarious one at that. Nathan Lane steals the show.
-
Simplistic and effective, it's a comedy that you'll never forget. Nothing much to say about it, but it's hilariously funny.
