Plot:

Probably you don't know this movie, well...let me present you the chosen one to represent Brazil in Oscar 2007.
Ok, ok...it was not even nominated... But probably you know Almodovar's Volver (shit) and it wasn't also.
If you think that brazilian cinema looks like City of God, you can start by erasing this dumbass idea of your mind.
Actual brazilian cinema looks more like "poverty poetry", probably you know this from Central Station. The brazilian northeast is the poorest region of the country, and almost all good stories are played in there. Like this one.
Cinema, Aspirina e Urubus is a movie about friendship, and it shows it in a lightly way.
1942. A german in Brazil trying to sell aspirines around those poor regions. He uses a truck and a projector, with the last one he shows little comercials to people, city by city. Travelling with him, is an arrongant native guy, but who is just fighting for his surviving.
Fully of tenderness, this movie never loses the poetry hand. A great direction by the promising Marcelo Gomes. I would like to detail three scenes:
1.Miguel, Ketnath and Hermila Guedes on the truck, talking about zodiac.
2. Miguel putting the hand in the way of the projector's light, showing the documentaries on his hand.
3. Miguel and Ketneth talking about how would be if they had been on war. One against the other.
This three scenes worthes the whole movie already, but don't miss it, if your image of brazilian cinema is a little boy with a gun in the hand, it will change.
