Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Reviews and Ratings

  • August 6, 2007
Superb! A young, idealistic senator fights to expose the ugly underbelly of politics. Very reminiscent of an earlier film called "Mr. Deeds Goes To Town", but even better, in my opinion. A must-see classic for all lovers of cinema.

A story of one man's fight againist the machine. Reminds people that corruption and greed has plagued government since the dawn of mankind.
  • August 6, 2007
It was slightly boring but it did have it's funny moments. It was ok.
  • August 5, 2007
Brilliant! There's no action here, like what Homer complained about, but still it kept me in the edge of my seat. Shows the integrity of one man fighting against impossible odds. Jimmy Stewart was amazing in his role.
Although, I also liked the Simpsons version too :)

Flat out what politics should be and a prime example of why no one with this kind of integrity and dedication would run for office these days.

  • July 21, 2007
Seen about half an hour of this but it didn't seem like something I'd get into, its far too American to even relate to, not into politics either, I don't even know what a senator is if I'm being honest and that sort of stuff is what its all about.
