The middle-aged owner of a cafe is amorously pursued by a young divorced nightclub singer with a young child. Muhsin is also pestered by a young man from the country who announces he has come to Istanbul to become a folk singer. Touches of gentle comedy are inserted when Muhsin decides to finance the recording by the aspiring folk singer. Set in his ways, Muhsin is a conservative bachelor who delights in driving his car and listening to 78 RPM records, but he eventually falls in love with his seductive neighbor and gives up his solitary lifestyle. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi
