    What to watch out for:

There are a couple of scenes that stood out from the rest.

Up first is the one with Evo (Richard Gutierrez) inside the elevator when he rehearses his apology to Akiko. That was Richard at his goofiest—and most adorable. He’ll have audiences doubling up with laughter, especially at the point when he leaves the elevator!

Second is the part where Grace and Evo are in the car. Grace grabs his license and ultimately discovers the big mystery behind his name. (Clue: You would never expect it!)

Third, the Swan Lake ballet. There is a priceless scene before the show where Akiko introduces Grace to her friends and treats her condescendingly. As the palaban girl that she is, Grace gives a retaliation to remember!

And of course, Marian’s dance out of the giant cake was also hilarious; the trailers are just a sneak peek of what really happened at the stag party!

These, of course, are apart from the kilig sequences at the beach and at the park, where Grace and Evo begin to see beyond their first impressions of each other. Perfectly complemented by Shamrock’s song “All I Need,” all the mushy parts are definitely going to make you blush. And yes, there are a lot of kisses—a butt squeeze, even!

It’s impossible to be disappointed by BFGF if you’re looking for a feel-good movie that tugs at your heartstrings and makes you want to hold your loved one’s hand. It says that it’s great to fall in love, no matter how unexpected or wrong, no matter how silly or sudden. Because really, it will just hit you when you least expect it. Take it from Evo and Grace.

Richard Gutierrez was exceptionally funny in BFGF—a refreshing change after all his angsty characters on the small and big screen. Direk Mark Reyes was right when he said that people will see a different Richard this time around because he got all his energy from Marian Rivera. Their onscreen chemistry was surprisingly undeniable, as shown in the true-to-life way they portrayed their characters.

To say Marian did a good job in BFGF is an understatement. She was no doubt the life of the film, a sassy chameleon of an actress who can get away with being jologs and still be believable as a sophisticated character. Her role as Grace is palaban yet conservative, an ironic contrast to her job as a waitress in a bar along Quezon Avenue.

Her girlfriends are her exact opposite: they’re loud, liberal, and flirtatious to a certain extent. Another scene stealer is Chariz Solomon, who seems to have found her niche in comedy as Grace’s best buddy Chiqui.
