Critic Reviews

  • Brian Orndorf, BrianOrndorf.com

It's hideously unfunny, falling well beneath the capabilities of everyone involved...Ross isn't building a comedy here, he's trying to survive one.

  • Dennis Schwartz, Ozus' World Movie Reviews

The contrived plot is a bit gooey.

  • Steve Crum, Kansas City Kansan

Unique comedy with Steve Martin in great form.

  • Jeffrey M. Anderson, San Francisco Examiner

    Savagely unfunny and unbelievably stupid.

  • Jeffrey Westhoff, Northwest Herald (Crystal Lake, IL)

    Agreeably silly. Merengue, baby!

A pretty good comedy film. It drags a bit in the middle, but it's very entertaining. Steve Martin is actually good as an Italian, or at least in this film. I love Joan Cusack and Rick Moranis...not sure how I feel about them together though. Overall, a pretty good comedy movie… More

A fantastic cast in this movie. The story isn't very unique, but it's interesting enough. Overall, it's funny, and entertaining.

Rick Moranis AND Steve Martin, how was I not going to like it?! It's funny, of course and cute. Steve as Vinny is a total crack up. My Blue heaven is just a happy little mafia movie and romcom all in one.

A great flick with a great teaming up of two really funny actors. Martin and Moranis own this flick. It's fun and heartfelt without being cheesy and silly. This is a forgotten gem of the comedy genre.

Yet another of Steve Martin's terrible career choices. Why doesn't anybody realise that mob comedys never EVER work...? Especially if the "mob" figure is played like a used car salesman...
