I adored this movie, making a film where a canal, which is being trespassed becomes a very huge part of the life and going-ons of a family is just fascinating. The characters seem real and the development of them is one of the most brilliant i've seen.

The end of the story begun in La Gloire de mon pere - so beautiful and, ultimately, so sad.
