It was kinda fast pacing movie. Nothing beats the original but I still enjoyed it merely because of Elisha Cuthbert & Jesse Bradford. Cute couple which unlike the original, I didn't find the guy attractive though.

Elisha looks more stunning in this hollywood remake than in The Girl Next Door movie.

It is still a feel good movie to watch.

I like this MOVIE!!!!! Very nice STORY!!! Although I haven't seen the original yet........Elisha Cuthbert is very beautiful...
Her portrayal of the character is very good as well as Jesse Bradford.....I like how the movie defines DESTINY. "Destiny is to build the bridge to someone you love"... But Of course I have to SEE the original movie first before I can make a good judgment... hahahhahahhahha BUT IT SEEMS to ME that THE ORIGINAL IS BETTER than this... Still IT"S NICE MOVIE!!!!!

I liked the Korean version better. For me the snottiness and bratness of Elisha is not as good and as natural as that of Ji-hyun Jun but all in all, i think it did justice to the story so i still give it a thumbs up. It came up distinctly american in a way fitting the eastern values into the western set up. I just wish they made the recital scene as romantic as it was in Yeopgijeogin Geunyeo (Korean version).

I have to say that its no better compared to the original Korean version but I still thought that it makes a good date movie. I liked that it stayed true to most parts of the original. I think I liked Jesse Bradford's performance more than Elisha Cuthbert's, though I thought she really looked very pretty. I guess I was hoping that she had been more spontaneous and funny.

We saw this movie twice once at home then a few days later it was released in the cinema (august 2008 american version) ok I recomend that you watch the Korean film made in 2001 of My sassy girl much more entertaining. there is to many parts of this film missing to make the story whole in the american version

The original definitely so much better than this remake. Lot's of scenes copied from the original. I liked the original, but this one i didn't really like because of the fact that this was a total copy from the original. I thought that there would be a twist, but no, the plots and the ending was an exact copy of the original.

Is this some kind of joke? Much of the humor found in the original was cultural, and judging from the trailer I don't believe this film will be any good.

Update: Just seen it, and it's a really, really crappy re-make. This version just isn't as sharp, or convincing, or even as charismatic as the original. Skip it.

    holy crap, no.

remakes are fine and dandy, but there is little to no chance Hollywood can do this movie right.

come up with your own ideas, Hollywood. stop butchering foreign classics, please.

A movie coming out direct to DVD!
Well it wasnt a bad idea if you have seen the trailer
    Its dull... disappointing!
The girl is not even sassy.
    And its not funny

Well you should see it for yourself or better not.
And I recommend you to see the original korean version of it with the same title.

Having just watched the trailer, I must say that this remake of the 2001 Korean movie looks truly terrible. Maybe it will exceed my expectations - but I doubt it.
