Should have been much better but it was a welcome relief after sitting through countless Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez chick flicks! Eddie Izzard is wasted though!

A fairly decent turn at a rom-com with a difference. Has some funny scenes with a super hero girl who turns nasty after being broken up with. Anna Faris is good in this. Worth a watch next time it's on TV.

The film has a great premise. Super-hero is possessive and jealous within a relationship. I also think such a premise works best as a comedy, though a dark route would have also been interesting. The comedy just isn't that funny. One fantastic scene, which really takes advantage ...( read more)

I like Rainn Wilson from the Office and he was ok in this, not great, but ok. Anna Faris also had an ok supporting role. But I'm not a fan of Uma or Luke so I couldn't connect with the romantic couple. This wasn't as funny or super as I expected.

Critic Reviews
My Super Ex-Girlfriend, simply by having a genuinely funny idea at its core, is one of the summer's better comedies, and director Ivan Reitman and the cast give it a straight-faced silliness. full review
If the script for this comic spin on Fatal Attraction were only a tenth as hot as Uma Thurman, director Ivan Reitman might have had something here. full review
There are about 20 minutes worth of decent sketch comedy here, which means this one beats the summer's other Wilson brother comedy, You, Me and Dupree. full review
My Super Ex-Girlfriend lampoons conventional comic book movies and relationship films by nudging its needy title character into the Manhattan singles market. It's a silly premise, and it works beautif... full review
My Super Ex-Girlfriend is a romantic comedy from a stereotypically masculine perspective. full review

August 19, 2007(2006 Director Ivan Reitman) Uma Thurman is marvelous in this one! Great supporting cast... funy funny! If you saw the previews then you know Uma has superhuman powers. Yes definitely"campy"....for the sci fi, satire lovers!! Predictable sexual humor...Luke Wilson's character is not UP for the task of a girl friend, much less a super hero girlfriend!!

October 17, 2006I really didn't like this movie. Whilst it had the occasional chuckle, it really wasn't worth the money to go and see. The acting was semi-decent, but the plot was thin and dull.
