Not to bad, wasn't what I thought it would be, but still fun to watch.

Ben Stiller is very funny as a security guard in a museum. He discovers the exhibition characters come alive at night. The characters are all great especially Owen Wilson as the Cowboy and Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt. They have to stop the retired security guards from steal...( read more)ing the treasures that bring them to life.

Night at the Museum is a solid family film that is entertaining for both children and adults. The story centers around a magical centuries old tablet that brings all the museum exhibits to life in the middle of the night.

Watching all the characters come to life was a

...( read more) magical experience that really surprised me. The characters were charming and humorous. It was an entertaining experience that totally exceeded my expectations. Ben Stiller didn't need to overact as he so frequently does for laughs. Enjoyable and worthy of multiple viewings...

An original concept that was actually fun to watch the first time. Robin Williams's Theodore Roosevelt pretty much carried the movie and the added comedic value of pairing Owen Wilson with Steve Coogan was priceless. I know it's a cutesey family film but it has Carla Gugino in it...( read more). I'd watch her do just about anything. Written by the same twisted minds who gave us Reno 911 and The State. Remember them? You're old if you do LOL!

This truly is an above par childrens film. Like any good Pixar film an adult can laugh their way through this although this isnt Pixar it still is a good thing. The acting was good and overall an ok film.

Bound to become THE family entertainment choice for the holiday season. It's a blockbuster. Deal with it. full review

Moira MacDonald, Seattle Times

The movie, despite some lavish special effects, feels perfunctory and generic. Kids may well enjoy it (the 7-year-old with me giggled all the way through); adults may squirm. full review

Ty Burr, Boston Globe

Night at the Museum, in fact, is stuffed with smart performers doing graciously silly work, and all [director Shawn] Levy has to do is manage traffic. full review

Claudia Puig, USA Today

If only family comedies would evolve and not assume that a good concept, convincing special effects and a strong cast automatically add up to fun. full review

Night at the Museum fails to hit a completely comfortable stride. full review
