gd scary movie but i think the the 2nd one and the 3rd one suck there not as gd as the 1st one well it was a great scary movie i lut it=] and i thought it was pretty great and I saw "Night of the Demons 2" first before I saw "Night of the Demons". Unfortunately, my old Blockbuster thought it was a good idea to have the sequel, but no first one. Looney, huh? Now, I think all horror fans need this movie. It's like McDonald's, you know it's bad for you and you'd rather have The Cheesecake Facotory(or whatever pricier restaurant you prefer), but you can't help but just wanting the cheap stuff. lol.
Cheesy + Gory + Atmospheric + Funny + Scary = Horror Classic!
Night of the Demons is an amazingly great fun Halloween film. If you consider yourself to be a true horror fan then this movie definitely needs to be on your list. And if you take this movie seriously then your missing the whole point. It's fun! Plain and simple. This is just a fun horror movie with that good old spooky Halloween feel to it. The atmosphere in this is sick. Oh my God, does this movie have great dark atmosphere! Talk about scary demons too. Angela(the demon) will have you shitting in your pants. As far as cheese goes, thank God this movie was as cheesy as it was. It made it hilarious. Night of the Demons is one fucking funny and hilarious movie...scary as well.
The acting is bad(So what? It's hilarious)
The script is a mess(So what? It's hilarious)
The characters are retarded(So what? It's hilarious)
Nothing in here is believable or slightly convincing...And yes! It is hilarious.
And after saying all this I will say that Night of the Demons certainly has a charm. It makes and turns cheesy horror into a blast of good times. Everything that's wrong with this film works to it's advantage. The cheese factor is exactly what this movie needed. Because it's played out so well it makes Night of the Demons work as a classic bad 80's B horror film. Underneath all the ridiculous cheese and silliness Night of the Demons still manages to be frightful delight with many scares and chills on the surface. A great Halloween time movie. I highly recommend this one to any horror fan!
Other Reviews:
"It's a fun ride, perfect for late night viewing. It's got humor, gore, scares, decent effects, great make up. It's the perfect Halloween movie, the type of movie I always hope is on at 1am when I have insomnia."
- Horror Talk
"Night Of The Demons is one of those fun movies, probably best viewed with your brain in the off position. But nevertheless a damn good time all around. Fun pranks, silly kids, and gory moments."
- Burnout Central Review
"Night Of The Demons doesn't re invent the genre but re interprets it with high energy, wit and style. It's a nasty ride and you won't regret it."
- Arrow in the Head
"If you're looking for some completely brainless 80s fun (and I do mean brainless), look no further. And if you like it, I won't tell on you, I swear."
- Final Girl
"Night of the Demons contains everything you could possibly want from an 80s horror flick: gore, babes, skin, scares, comedy and plenty of cheese."
- Popcorn Pictures
"Night of the Demons is a good reason to love horror. No, it's not a masterpiece, but it delivers an hour-and-a-half of fun entertainment, which is more than can be said of many other so-called "scary" movies."

I know i ran into this standup once at the video store and it scared the shit out of me lol but the movie wasnt as scary, not too bad though ive seen way worse.
I wish I could watch every movie ever made but I sadly don't have the time. I'm not interested in this movie because I don't think I'll like it or don't know enough about it to think I might like it. I may still end up seeing it some day though.
Great atmosphere, quite creepy, creature/makeup designs that are still effective today. I have some problems with some of the actors (mainly the protagonist girl) delivering their lines amateurishly. My biggest gripes are concerning the editing/arrangement of action scenes and chase scenes. Overall, the cinematography needs a better eye, but I like the gritty texture to it.
There are some cool scare jumps; I was freaked by the demons, and though the story arc is simple, I found some of the contextual details fascinating, such as the fact that the demons cannot cross over moving water. The set/house is a character unto itself and is just as scary as the beer-belly-punk-demon leaping out at unsuspected moments.
Jesus there are three of these silly movies. I think I will stop while I am ahead and move on to something different. very corny and I like corny movies.
Decent little horror/comedy from the 80s. Good gore, plus you get to see Linnea Quigley shove lipstick through her boob. How can one pass that up.
Terrible acting.
Terrible music.
Terrible ending.
Well, at least they're coherent.
Ah, I don't even know why I bother...
One scene actually worth it in the entire movie.
Definitely not a great movie, but I've suffered through a lot worse than this. It's pretty much what I expect from an 80's horror flick - gratuitous nudity, terrible acting, and a stupid story with lots of pretty people getting killed. On that score, it does deliver.
linnea quigley and a tube of lipstick .. need i say more orh yeah the chick who played angela was on the anna nicole show as a animal psychic and anna's dog farted in her face lol
Cute enough for blood and bosoms, but very lazy and cliche otherwise. Primative compared to the sequel.
While this movie is in no ways brilliant, it is quite enjoyable!
It is a little slow at the beginning as its not till around half way through that the demonic possessions begin, and then there is a lot of running around and screaming!
It is pretty much an average demon possessing storyline, with a bunch teens entering an abandoned funeral parlour to have a party on halloween. (The night of course when all kinds of evil can wander the Earth lol). They have a seance which awakens a demon... let the possessions begin!
The demon effects were quite good though.
This movie scared the shit out of me when I was little. I recently saw it & I was laughing my ass off! It's kinda funny!
This was one of the horror movies that I used to watch all the time. I wore the tape out and it eventually broke. I wasn't heartbroken though.
My favorite cheesy-horror flick, it was so unintenionally funny due to the cheesy dialouge and horrible acting. Not scary at all, but I recommend this highly to any cheesy horror fans.
i remember dis from when i was younger. scared da sh*t outta me. not so scary now, but i still like it.
Kevin S.Tenney pulled off a great thriller in 1988 with this one Night OfTheDemons,It was a good example of my preaching on "low-budget"films and this film was, But still captures the fright every horror movie deserves. The scene with "possesed" Mimi {"Amelia"} Kincaid was very frightening and put icicles down your spine, While Bauhas's "Stigmata Martyr" played in the background and her black-lightened dance and choreagraphy that she wrote directly all herself. She was truly "Frightening" by every means and the make-up was astonishing. Cathy Podewell stayed pretty well clothed throughout the movie, Unlike her sidekicks JillTarshita and Linnea Quigley who played a good part herself in the film, I actually enjoyed the suspense and the innocense of the cast as portraying a bunch of "reckless" "carefree" teenagers who live for "thrills" and "suspense" and who end up with much more than they could have bargained for!' HalHavis seemed to dissapear after this movie and was pretty much never seen agian! Linnea Quigley still continued her horror/ "badgirl" image in many others afterwards, Cathy Podewell A.K.A Dallas seemed to dissapear too herself after starring in the television series "DAllas" all those seasons. But "Mimi" is who stoled my heart as a fan after her performance in this i was very impressed with her"acting" and "choreagraphy". I was so impressed i had to watch the second onea mere four years later." i rate this 3 and a half stars! Ronnie.
A fun but typical 80's horror flick with a lot of humor, intentional and unintentional. Bad acting, but that can be overlooked to an extent, especially when you know what you are getting with a "B" movie.
horrible acting doesnt stop this film from being really fun. Tight, well paced and stylish at times.
This Horror movie is a hoot! Half legitimately scary, half goofy humor funny. And that lipstick scene! thats a one of a kind movie goer experience right there! Highly recommended 80s horror fun.
Great horror flick from the late 80's. The cast of actors is very likeable or despicable (depending on how you are to view them), and the demons look really sweet. The infamous 'lipstick scene' looked alot more believable when I was 12, but it still holds up for a low budget slasher. It's your typical story - horny kids shack up at haunted house for Halloween night, systematically all turn into demons... you know the rest. Good, gooey stuff here.
