Plot:
In this 3D chiller, Barb and her brother Johnny arrive late for the burial of their aunt and walk straight into a nightmare. With zombies on her heels, Barb flees the cemetery and is rescued by Ben, a...( read more

The movie itself,1 star. But because the idea(a zoimbie movie in 3D) deserve more one star. But the movie is bad.
A sub-par remake by every stretch of the imagination - but who cares? It's zombies! In 3D! With Sid Haig! The cheese is smothering, but, damn, is it delicious too. Just -do not- take it seriously, and you'll have a blast with this movie.
I give them so much credit for trying. The filmmakers take a very well known story and give it an interesting twist that certainly makes it so that no one can accuse them of being unoriginal (This is no Gus Van Sant remake). Sid Haig is wonderful, but unfortunately, the other actors come up short, as does the entire picture. That said, it is fun to watch, if only to deride, and for the few 3D gags that work out well.
If you get a copy, I wouldn't say its wasted money, just to have something schlocky to pull out with some friends. Plus, it's 3D... come on. That makes most anything bearable.
This movie was a suckfest.Boring and stupid and not the slightest bit good.Very disappointed.Shame on you Sid.
what a piece of trash
some terrible acting, AWFUL zombie makeup (everything looks like a mask), tons of stoner gags, and a HORRIBLE plot
I don't even think this gets sold in 3D-I'd rather watch this than House of the Dead, but not by much
i didnt this think movie was that bad lol even though alot seem to hate it i mean yea its no where near the original or anything and the acting wasnt super great lol but it was good for just a B zombie movie :)
From the opening few minutes this looked like a contender for one of the worst films ever made. The acting was so wooden I thought I was watching an Australian soap, I lie not even Aussie soaps have acting this bad. Ultimately this became enjoyable only because it is so bad. I watched the 3d version but had a really awful pair of 3d glasses which gave me a headache (or was that the movie?), I only used them occasionally after about 15 minutes. The 3d effects were pretty poor and for the sake of picture quality a 2d version would be better to watch. At least the running time was pretty short.
Absolute disgrace - but such is to be expected with a movie starring Sid Haig. This is what happens to a masterpiece when you don't file for a copyright extension. The 3D glasses were cool though.
One of the worst remakes i seen with some bad acting. It was good not to go see it in theaters,it was better off being a straight to video film.
Someone reinvented Night of the living dead into a cheesy 3-D gimmick that looks like an amateurish student film.A very disappointing remake with bad performances. One of the worst zombie movies i seen.
I liked some parts, other parts were just corny as hell. I wish netflix would have sent me the 3D version, but they only carry the 2D.
Why does Sid Haig want to make me hate him? Galaxy of Terror, fucking amazing. Devil's Rejects, Absolutely stunning. What the fuck is he doing in movies of THIS caliber? Its like a remake of a remake. Poorly remade remake of a remake. Sid is wooden. Greg Travis is a pussy. Avoid this movie like a sponge full of herpes.
The concept of recreating of my favorite films, sounded fun. This movie really lived up to the poor expectations l already had.
I am not recommending this film at all. Romero's classic really doesn't need any more remakes, especially crappy ones like this! The story went in a completely different (and downright dumb) direction, then left us with a 'nothing' ending. Even the much-hyped 3D effects (which should have saved this mess) don't measure up to much. Why would someone make a 3D movie and then NOT use the 3D effects to their maximum potential?
What starts out as a clever twist on Night of the Living Dead quickly falls apart into one of the cheapest looking and badly directed horror films in recent years. I've seen uber indie films that look slicker than this shite. Once the opening scene in the cemetery ends it's all downhill from there, with nothing but a bunch of stupid characters (making "Ben" white is a travesty) who do stupid things in stupid situations. Prime example... when Barb sets fire to Sid Haig's zombified father... his dumb ass just stands there and watches him burn when there's 20 objects in the room with him (and within reach) he could have used to put the flames out. It's just a bad movie that I can't believe would have been remotely watchable in 3D. Absolute crap.
WOW THIS MOVIE IS TOUGH TO RATE. DO I WANT IT TO BETTER BETTER THAN THE OTHER LIVING DEAD MOVIES OR DO I WANT IT TO TAKE A DIFFERENT TWIST?? WELL EITHER WAY THIS MOVIE TAKES ITS OWN ROUTE WITH THE ORIGINAL STORY BUT I THINK IT DOES A PRETTY DAMN GOOD JOB OF THAT. IT GIVES YOU A LIL MORE INSIGHT INTO THE POSSIBILITIES SURROUNDING THE WHO WHY AND HOW BRIANNA AND SID DO WELL AS DOES THE REST OF THE CAST THE EXTRA BONUS? OF COURSE...ITS IN 3D. BUT NOW I HAVE TO BUY BOTH VERSIONS HMPH...
Wow. This movie sucked. Why did I watch it? A) It's a zombie movie. As bad as it will ever look, if someone's putting it on, I'll watch it. B) I was at a Halloween movie party. It was on the schedule. C) IT WAS IN 3-EXPLETIVE-D! If you've read previous reviews, you'll know that I'll watch grass grow in 3D.
I'm not going to lie. About a star-and-a-half of this movie came from the fact that it was in 3D. So really, I should be reviewing this as half-a-star, but I did have a good time, so that means I can't completely slam this movie.
Here's one of my major purposes. Everyone who's anyone knows that the original Romero Night of the Living Dead is unfortunately a public domain film. Which means anyone can do anything they want with the movie. When I film a movie, it'll probably be showing in the background. Sorry, them's the breaks, kids. So that's why Jeff Broadstreet (who?) decided to make this piece of schlock. Now, the problems of remakes ignored (frankly because I liked Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead), this movie is a remake in a world where the original exists. That's right, the characters in the movie are watching Romero's Night of the Living Dead as their story unfolds. Did no one notice the giant coincidence in character names or aspects of plot?
Also, once it is established that this is a world that has a copy of Romero's classic, then all of the sudden, the story veers off and goes in a totally different direction. WHAT? You do something, you stick with it! On top of all this, this movie dates itself with referencing 2007 fashions, going so far as to cite Left Behind rather than the Bible.
Lastly, I feel compelled to comment on the 3D. Yeah, I had fun, but the 3D rarely comes out and grabs you. I don't know if Broadstreet wanted some degree of class, but he really limits the shots, steering away from the Friday the 13th 3D mentality (which is a movie I would kill to see in 3D because it made no sense in 2D).
Doesn't even touch the original, and the story line is too skewered. The acting wasn't all that good (although Sid Haig, as always is excellent. He saves the movie). And the main thing they changed in the movie, they house that the characters eventually get to is now a pot farmer's house. Naturally, there's a lot of really bad pot jokes. The gore effects were decently done, but overall doesn't really save the movie. And, it's probably me personally, I don't know since I wear glasses anyway, but those 3D glasses give me a headache.
The 3D was just annoying. It did not make an experience. The cast was terrible. Most of all, we knew we would not like this because the most important scene did not happen. Johnny and Barbara in the cemetary. The scene which made the movie.
The zombies looked really bad, and there really wasn't any gore. And where was Ben?! I'm not racist, I loved the original Ben--and he was not here! I'm sorry that I wanted to see this for so long.
First off the 3d sucked ass the only thing that came even close to looking real was a piece of glass, secondly it was a horrible remake and making it 3d really just made it worse. Im giving it one star cause it had sid haig in it which was the only reason i wanted to see it in the first place.
It was not the best zombie movie but it was alright for what it was the older verison was beterfor sure the old black and white one
