Sad, sensual, sensational and well-acted. Diane Lane and Richard Gere give life to this powerful story of love, letting-go and forgiveness. The hurricane sequence is skillfully done. I liked the coastal scenery. The only thing: too many cans of good food were trashed.
Bad movie. Definitely. I have no idea why Hollywood takes stories and turns then into the sappiest, most ridiculous love tragedies. Too much of this, too much of that, let's throw 20 minutes of crying at the end and you have your movie. Maybe not a happy ending, but come on, ther...( read more)

not as sad as i thought it was be (according to ppl saying to keep the tissues close by) ... it wasn't bad though,
I was not to impressed with this movie. I think they could have done more with it and of course it has a depressing ending since it is based on a Sparks book.
Such a sad sad movie... I cried! Very simple story but really touched. i can't say further. I loved it!
