They should have gotten someone like dana dalanie to be in the movie and it would have been better. all in all the movie was alright a little slow at times but ending was climatic and well done
I really want to see this movie, just because it's another Nicholas Sparks romance novel based movie. I have high expectations an will probably come back here as soon as I can to update!
if you are looking for a movie that can not only make you cry but also be romantic at the same time, you should go and see this movie, it is very sweet and shows how two people can find love and help each other through tough times
A teary eyed jerker of a movie. But, definitely one that is well executed. This is a definite must have in the romantic area of your personal collection.
Nights In Rodanthe was a very lovely romatic movie. It had a lot of heart in the whole movie. It had meaning in the movie as well. It was very sad the whole entire movie. I think that the end of this movie was very sad but done in good way. The director of this movie was very smart and clever the way he made this movie. The acting was terrefic and very well done. Dian Lane and Richard Gere are two great people in this movie that fall in love. It was a wonderful love story and was fun to watch. The movie really teaches you a lot. I think that when you see this movie you find who you really are. The visuals were pretty at the place where they stayed at in Rodanthe. I think that it was a perfect movie all around. Not only can just adults like this movie teens can as well. This movie will most likely make evryone tear in it as well. Overall go see this movie with a date and have a great time.
awesome i went and saw it last night and cant wait to see it agian so good cant stop replaying it in my head at the end its really sad but good over all
Well the book made me cry....the movie, not so much. I'm still glad I went to see it but I felt anyone that didn't read the book was cheated of the full story. A lot of things were different. Nicholas Sparks is a phenomenal writer. It's a shame they can't get the movies right. The three stars I'm giving this film are more for having Diane Lane and Richard Gere in it.....if it weren't for them I'd say skip the movie and just read the book.
I saw this film in a theater with three couples and a whole row full of women. You could just tell by the mens faces that they were scared, so i assured them that it was going to be OK and we're going to get through this. I told them my horror story of having to sit through Made of Honor and they felt better.
Nights in Rodanthe is your typical Nicholas Sparks drivel. I can see this guy as the kid in the schoolyard making girls cry by telling them that Barbie was a communist or something to the effect. Diane Lane is a seperated mom who takes care of a seaside inn for a friend. Richard Gere is the doctor who arrives and acts weird. They fall in love and the end.
But Nicholas Sparks is trying to be the next Apollo Creed. No, he's not retirning more men than social security. he's killing more men than cancer. Yes, it's time to weep.
But you can't because the film is so damn predictable. But ladies love to cry over stars whose hair still looks good even in a hurricane. The acting sucks. The direction sucks. The premise sucks. But Scott Glen is in it so I'll throw it half a star.
Huge Tear Jerker but beautifully filmed, great location, nice storyline and wonderfully acted by all. A little slow in parts but just a nice movie that makes you think about holding out for the "one" in your life.
It was what I was expecting: very cheesy, very Halmark, made me gag at some points. But it also re-established my infatuation with Richard Gere. Dang, he's attractive.
Beautiful movie. I was just in Rodanthe, and it is that beautiful. I have photos of the house it was filmed at. I wonder now why I came back to indiana.
Not a bad romance film. Had some drama along with the romance. Had a decent plot. The ending was unexpected. Diane Lane and Richard Gere did a good job on their roles.
It was not the most moving movie that I have ever seen. I read the book and it was much better...as usual. The characters kinda fell together instead of them building chemistry. I love both of these actors but there definately could have been more feeling between the characters. I liked the side stories too. I think i liked some of the other film adaptations of Nicholas Sparks books better.
This may constitute a "chick flick" but was by far one of the best movies I have seen so far this year. Diane Lane deserves an Oscar Award for her performance, and as always, Richard Gere is nothing to shake a stick at! Bring on the tissues. . . . .
