Unfortunately "No Country For Old Men" falls into the "All Hype and No Sizzle Trap". Although it gets kudos for going against the norm as being not like every other plot and character development. For instance, how you think that certain characters would play a main role and there would be some sort of big show down in the end. I myself would have like to seen "Into The Wild" as a contender for "Best Picture" at the Oscars. For the winner it should have been "Atonement".

It was so boring. Fell asleep near the end of the movie or probably 30-40 mins left in the movie. I see the plot of the movie Read the great reviews, but was disappointed half way thru the movie. All I saw in the movie was a guy finding drugs, money and running away from the guy thats after him. I was going like "Whaa...?" 10-15 mins into the movie. The acting was good, but thats about it. This movie was not theater or rental worthy.

A slow film.
Javier Bardem is a good actor.
I ike "Mar Adentro".
But this isn`t a good film.

well, i think the movie is intereting the way the criminal thinks and he plans all the things he does and how can he not fell anything for all the people who he killed its so crazy but the end was very weird but this is the movie who won the the best film in the oscars so it is actually a good movie.

Honestly I find it weird when people think the ending didn't end it. I thought it ended fine and everything was finished. He obviously went back and got the money from the hotel. He had to come back after killing Josh Brolin's Character, thats why the guys in the bronco were leaving so fast. He is in there when Tommy Lee Jones comes in, because he was there getting the money.

I'm confused at why so many people are disappointed in the ending, and those who are clearly missed the entire point of this film. If the ending had been wrapped up neatly then it would have gone against everything that this movie was making a statement towards.
Sorry if this blows some minds, but face it- No Country for Old Men is more philosophy than action film. If you can't handle that, don't comment ignorantly.posted 58 days ago -
A great action, suspense and chase movie. I suppose you had your choice as to who you wanted to route for in this movie since there were many dynamic personalities. If I am not mistaken I think this won the best pic of the year but to me that is over rating it but the acting was superb. There were a few major scenes that the viewer didn't see happening but only after the fact. Not sure if that was because the movie stretched too long but I was a bit disappointed in trying to figure out when those took place. Oh I would also enjoy discussing this movie with anyone who saw to ask a question about the last scene at the motel.

Moody, moving, scary and exciting, this is another tour de force for the Coen Brothers!

I was amazed by this film! I had heard about people's concern over the ending, and then I saw it. I have to say that while the ending was abrupt, the story was over. I don't think there was anything left.
And applause to the movie that prompted me to write my first movie comment; it was that good!posted 70 days ago -
this is an absolutely brilliant film. If you only get to watch one film this year go see this!

I'm a fan of the Coen Brothers I saw glimpses of Oh Brother Where Art Thou within the script and some traces of Fargo at moments but the ending shut me down and pissed my wife off truly...I thought the 1990 thriller Presumed Innocent had a cool ending among several other movies but this took one the cake...maybe when it comes out on video it will show alternate endings but this one took the cake with extra frosting...All in all it was a brilliant movie...a mix of Miller's Croosing and Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia. The hitman reminded me of The Terminator and his relentless pursuit for carrying out his assignment he just didn't die though...

Watchable movie. The ending was a little too inconclusive, for my likings. But, it is worth the price of admission.

Very bloody, intense & heart-pounding film.Great performances by Josh Brolin & Spanish actor Javier Bardem who plays one of the best psycho killers to come out on the big screen.
I wasn't crazy how this film ended but i'm sure some will be ok with the way it ended & others will be disappointed. My other problem was Tommy Lee Jones role was too boring & The Coen Bros could've made his character interesting.Other than that very good film.posted 172 days ago -
After two bad movies (The Ladykillers,Intolerable Cruelty) it seems like No Country for Old Men will be the new Coen's Masterpiece.
