I think it was a very cute film and even though I didn't like Abigail Breslin in Little Miss Sunshine, she was absolutely amazing here :)

So to treat the girl well she needs a man please this is so bad she should have been better at treating the girl and guy should have been a bonus is not fair for the girl!! nah seriously the movie is very good!!!

Master chef Kate Armstrong (Catherine Zeta-Jones) lives her life like she runs her kitchen at a trendy Manhattan eatery?with a no-nonsense intensity that both captivates and intimidates everyone aroun...( read more )d her. Kate's perfectionist nature is put to the test when she "inherits" her nine-year-old niece Zoe (Abigail Breslin), while contending with a brash new sous-chef who joins her staff. High-spirited and freewheeling, Nick Palmer (Aaron Eckhart) couldn't be more different from Kate, yet the chemistry between them is undeniable. Rivalry becomes romance, but Kate will have to learn to express herself beyond the realm of her kitchen if she wants to connect with Zoe and find true happiness with Nick.

A sweet romantic comedy that pulls at your heart strings. The characters are quite well done & quite believable. I very much recommend seeing this film...

Okay, it sounds like a bad movie, but I still would like to see this with my friends and a lot of food ;)

One part sass, two parts sauce with a dash of well-matched spicy banter, Catherine & Aaron were literally on fire as they whipped up one delicious dish after another. I like.

By the time this one came out, maybe we still in fever of Disney Pixar's last year hit, Ratatouille. And I guess no one could blame us if somehow the scenes from the animated movie flashed to our heads while watching this. SAME TONE, DIFFERENTLY SERVED.
The movie itself, served a romantic vibe with a right proportion and, dont give so much damn about the script, and blah, blah.. And you will enjoy this dish from Scott Hicks.

This is certainly not the best performance from Zeta-Jones, but this is certainly a nice one. Anyway, her last movie before No Reservation was The Legend of Zorro. Everyone on earth if putted in her position will quickly find any movies to ease that failure, so people won't say that her last movie was that failed and crappy The Legend of Zorro.' Her chemistry with Eckhart, well, I can't say it's the strong one, but not that bad so we must scream asking the movie to stop rolling. The delicate Abigail Breslin, surely is the center of attention. She's cute and fresh. I'm quite sure she's slowly take Dakota Fanning's place as the new Hollywood prodigy, afterall lately Fanning is not so productive and Breslin is now in the top of her career.

So, it was fun watching, THE STORY IS SWEET, CARE ABOUT NOTHING ELSE.

Nick: Zoe, I am now going to kiss your aunt.
Zoe: [covers her eyes] This is so embarrassing.

I thought this was suposed to be fuuny but its actually more of a drama, which bored me to sleep. So I can only rate the first half of the movie - but considering it put me to sleep should tell you something.

One of the most surprising films I saw all year, this romantic-comedy had me laughing and longing for a lover who can cook. Worth seeing for any fan of the genre.

Not bad for a chick flick. Liked all the food and cooking involved. I liked Zeta-Jones' diva chef and could see what they were trying to do with her character. I was expecting more of a romantic comedy from ads I had seen but this was more drama than funny. Sad at times but an ok movie.

Pretty good. A chick flick I could watch with my fiance since he's so into cooking. The plot reminded me a lot of Raising Helen.

Romantic comedy that happens in the kitchen. Haha? lovely! Love and food seriously a great combination. It?s like watching Ratatoulie? of course the lead is now the hot Catherine Zeta Jones. Watching this shows makes me hungry and yes, think about career vs. relationship. Which one weigh more? Both maybe?

It was a really cute movie. I also thought that is was going to be a little bit more then it was. It just felt like there was something missing.

Touching, heart-felt film with the right blend of drama and comedy. Never have I found Catherine Zeta-Jones to be so effective; she subtly draws out the emotions of her audience here. This is a must see.

Bien actuado y bien dirigido. Hay partes aburridas pero en genreal es divertida gracias a Aaron quien le da un toque diferente pues el casi siempre es villano.

Formulaic but enjoyable romantic movie. I enjoyed the cooking angle and found Zeta-Jones' role sympathetic to my own personality. Actually a remake of Mostly Martha, a German film.

A sweet drama, that is both funny and romantic. After her sister's death, Kate accepts Zoe (her sister's daughter) to live with her. She needs to deal both with Zoe, and the new high-spirited chef Nick, who joined her staff. This movie is perfect for those who love food!

I didn't expect this to be a crying movie. It was good and I would watch it again. I liked that there was no token sex scene. I hate those kind of movies.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is just not the chick-flick person for me. I wasn't really feeling this. Things were actually a little too cheesy @ times. Wait till it comes on TBS.

I rented this movie for my mother. She would have been better off watching whatever came on Lifetime.
The story was dull and full of plot holes. Zeta-Jones plays a control freak head chef raising her niece and upset with the free spirit co-worker her boss hires without her approval. There was no chemistry between Zeta-Jones and Eckhart. I do believe another reviewer already pointed out that not only is this basically the plot to Raising Helen, but it stars the same child. I can only think her parents must be picking her roles or maybe she has a hard time memorizing lines that she would agree to do such a blatant ripoff of a much better film.
Warning: this next part has a spoiler, stop reading now if you have any interest in this crap film. No owner alive would allow their head chef to bring a child into the kitchen late at night and help prepare food to be served. That the writers even made the audience suffer through one scene of an eight year old playing chef, let alone a good third of the movie, was just ridiculous.
In conclusion, run from the room if someone you love suggests watching No Reservations. Really, don't stay.

Very enjoyable! We watched it as a family and enjoyed the story. Not too sappy and not too boring. Fun.
