Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"The more sober-minded work, and the creepier film, thanks in large measure to Paul Birch's performance as the gent who is 'not of this Earth.'"
‑ Ken Hanke, Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)
"Could be the most effective of Corman's non-comic pre-Poe films..."
‑ John Beifuss, Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)
"Somehow Corman makes it all work, even the purely expositional dialogue scenes."
‑ Sean Axmaker, Parallax View
