I really really wanted to see this movie because it had Devon Sawa in it. He was the worst part of the movie. It was the four main characters and their chemistry that made this movie fun.

A wonderful idea: the cast looked like a total dream... on paper!

"Now and Then" is a misguided tale that beautifully captures the many painful and joyful ups and downs of four best friends growing up in the 1970's. Best compared to "Stand By Me" and "Man in the Moon," this tender movie gently touches base with the delicate time period when you...( read more)

Not a bad piece of film. I liked the childhood flashback storyline. However, the lower-down storyline was pretty flimsy, I really didn't really like how any of that turned out, nor was I really interested in it to begin with. However, the scenes they had with the boys were price...( read more)

September 1, 2007I am only 15 and this is one of my favorite movies. I was three when this movie came out and when my mom rented it, i didnt really remember much of it. I could only remember 4 grown women, sitting in a tree house. When I was about 13, I was watching it on t.v. not realizing what I was watching until the end. I fell in love. I went out and bought the movie shortly afterwards and still watch it every once and a while. This is a great movie and I think that every teenage girl should watch it. It has some good points about life in it.

June 10, 2007This is my all time favorite movie about coming of age. A lot more interesting then Stand By Me. Don't get me wrong I liked Stand By Me too, but I feel that the girls version was a lot better and more exciting. I can watch Now and Then over and over. Stand by Me I can watch once in a while.
