Almost as good as "If..." but for entirely different reasons. This is screwed up but seems to enjoy acting like it's a completely normal film. Note the lovely, expansive vistas and excellent cinematography while all sorts of craziness is occurring. Of course, what it's saying is a cogent argument for and against practically everything in modern society. I found it held my interest throughout, which is saying a lot because it's three hours long. Start with "If..." though...

A worthy follow up to If....
Mick Travis is now a coffee salesman, travelling across 70s Britain and encountering many strange characters.
Malcolm McDowell is excellent as well as the rest of the cast which features a wealth of British talent.

One of the best films ever made, a complete epic film about this Coffee salesman, on par with "If...".

Whenever I see Malcolm McDowell, I think two things: Caligula and A Clockwork Orange. Seeing him do a musical is a little too much to stomach.

The strangest in Lindsey Anderson's trilogy and maybe the best (by a hair, they're all 5 star films). Once again, like with all the films, everything works perfectly to make a one of a kind viewing experience.

This is the one film of the trilogy that I cannot imagine watching twice. Not that it's bad, but it's allegory is so biting and the humour is occasional. The acting is very charming and well-played but the film is very disturbing personally and the way everything is direct, revolution, capitalism, police state, human conditioning and done like a road movie that goes through the entire coast of Britain was highlly effectual and extremely edifying, but yet very exciting to watch.

Another McDowell/Anderson epic. They simply don't make films like this anymore and more's the pity. I can't recommend this film highly enough! Watch If... and this together and transport yourself back to an England that just doesn't exist anymore!

A simply wonderful film: a Candide for modern times with a great score by Alan Price of the Animals, who also appears in the film itself. The cast includes McDowell at his best and a host of great British character actors.

You'll be here for the entire evening watching the improbable events. Not for fast paced film buffs.

So surreal and confusing but I can't help but love every moment of this very peculiar, expansive story. Malcolm McDowell is absolutely fantastic as Mick Travis. I think I love this movie.

    I know I love Malcolm!

Very surreal. Comic yet sometmes also disturbing look at society. Malcolm McDowell shines in this post-Clockwork Orange film. There are some very good ideas here. Perhaps a bit long for some, but still a damn fine movie. Pretty good music too.

    "What's there to smile about?"
    Great ending.
