The guys get together to regain his property by doing over Al Pacino's new casino. All the best characters are back. My fave scene is the last one in the airport.

  A ruthless hotel owner cheats Reuben out of his share of the property and so the gang decide to extract retribution by ruining him and taking everything he's got. The Ocean's franchise, although better than the horribly self-indulgent original rat pack film, has never quite lived up to its potential. The first film started great but got rather mechanical and joyless for the second half. The second film started well but the second half was, well, garbage. Third time's the charm however, as the latest chapter is a big improvement over them both. The balance of comedy and action is maintained throughout the film at last, there's no Julia Roberts to be seen (yes!) and Pacino makes a much more charismatic villain than the inanimate Andy Garcia character. There's also plenty of comic asides from the Clooney/Pitt double act and Don Cheadle has finally tamed his still silly, but now bearable mockney accent. The plot twist is a little obvious, and a couple of the characters barely get a look in, but that's better than it being bloated and overlong. A stylish and sassy heist thriller, and the best of the series.

  While definitely meandering, and coming up short on the thrills that the first film delivered upon, "Ocean's Thirteen" is a definite upgrade on it's predecessor, adding new an loving characters, while, yes, still rehashing Andy Garcia's face. This film surely copies many of the plot points from the original, while adding fresh new twists to it, but falling a bit short on the believability, which is what was so fantastic about the first. The cast is back and better than ever, but the material just doesn't suit up to being as good as it used to be. Steven Soderbergh directs the hell out of this film and it shows. The unique transitions, which have complimented every film is seen a little less here, in which kind of made the film more effective. I can honestly say that I enjoyed this film, but it is in no way a great one. If you can sit through the second film, deifinitely give this one a go!

  Thirteen returns to the boring/safe formula of every heist film ever without the fresh stylish take or all the character driven chemistry that made the first two so enjoyable. Don't fret though, the comedy is still sharp and set pieces more glamorous than ever but there's just no heart to the finale-like project. With the whole crew coming back to get revenge for an old mate there's not much emotion involved and it's just an unsolicited collection of witty humor at the expense of another Vegas shark. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the Ocean's crew work but the plot simply didn't have the drama or consequential emotion of the first movie. Insubstantial, mildly amusing, well-acted entertainment

  Extremely entertaining. You can see that the actors are having a great time on the set, with a few inside jokes within the movie. This movie has vibrant and colorful cinematography that really captures the atmosphere of Las Vegas.

  Third part of the Ocean's Eleven series of crime film is a boring, uninspired awful film that I had to force myself to watch. I almost needed a pot of coffee to keep me awake. I felt that the filmmakers missed the mark on this one, and the result was a film that tried too hard at being an effective crime film. The film ended up being a bore fest for me. I thought that they rushed things in this film. The acting in this third film felt wooden, and I think it's a great shame that some over did it, as there's a terrific cast at hand here, but because of poorly conceived script, the film never does take off, and when it does; it feels silly. I felt that the film was tiresome with the actors trying to outdo themselves after two previous films, thinking they would deliver the best entry yet. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be. What you have here in this entry, is a film that's the worst of the three films, and not even the great Al Pacino, even though he gives a great performance; can save this film. I did not enjoy this film, and I felt it could have much better. Ocean's Thirteen is a terrible and forgettable third entry, and it's not as good as the first film, even though the second one was mediocre, at least it was entertaining, and it didn't feel like the filmmakers were overdoing it. If you enjoyed the first film, pass up on this one.

  Better than OCEAN'S TWELVE, and definitely not as pointless, with more tie-in to the original Rat Pack remake, but still can't get to the point of hilarity at which OCEAN'S ELEVEN coolly rests. Pity this just "wasn't [Julia Roberts's and Catherine Zeta-Jones's] fightâ"I personally think OCEAN'S THIRTEEN would have been much better and a much more stable production if Soderbergh's Hundred (or whatever number of people are in the entire crew) had decided not to cut them out of the screenplay and use the classic "scripting issues" excuse.

  Bringing back its all-star cast and returning to the scene of "Eleven", "Thirteen" offers more thrills and fun than either of its modern predecessors. Soderbergh and company seem to have figured out that a Vegas casino makes for a more intriguing, exciting caper film than Europe, the setting of "Twelve". Not only is "Thirteen" more fun than either "Eleven" or "Twelve", "Thirteen" maintains the precedent set by the other two of being well-crafted and solidly-made. Perhaps the tricks used by the Ocean crew in "Thirteen" aren't as clever as the ones used in "Eleven", but the great fun of the casino-floor setting more than makes up for it. "Thirteen" is the best film in the series.

  Revenge is a funny thing. Saw it again! Great Movie!!!!! Love it really just like the others. Seeing it again just makes it aprecciated it more. Acting is perfect! When senior Ocean member Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) gets double crossed by the scheming Willie Bank (Al Pacino), the Ocean team decide it is time to get even, but this time, with the help of an old enemy. Together, they decide that the goal here is not to take Bank's money, but make him lose it and his Five Diamond awards. Through a series of scams, they rig every game in the casino, making everything pay out to any player there. Underground, they create an earthquake, causing everyone in the casino to evacuate, removing Bank's chance of winning it back. Through out the movie, the Five Diamond reviewers time at the casino is sabotaged through various means (chicken pox-like infection on his towels, laxatives in his food, terrible smelling insences being burned in his room, and overall bad service) and he reviews it very poorly, taking Bank's chance at winning another Five Diamond with him. At the end, after successfully pulling off the heist, Rusty (Brad Pitt) rigs one last machine in the Airport, letting the reviewer who they un-willingly put through all the problems hit the jackpot before boarding his plane.

  There is something addictive about the combination of style and attitude that Steven Soderbergh has created in his three Danny Ocean films. "Ocean's Thirteen" is another zippy, involving and feisty caper that, thankfully, includes the spirited and witty performances, insanely beautiful cinematography, hopping score from David Holmes and a rewarding final heist that the pervious installments had. If you enjoyed the prior two films, "Ocean's Eleven" and "Ocean's Twelve," "Ocean's Thirteen" will do very nicely. It should also be noted that this film contains the only other worthy Al Pacino performance from the decade, next to "Insomnia."

  A step up from Twelve, but a slight step down from Eleven, this film is a satisfying and entertaining caper film. The old crew as usual have terrific chemistry together, and deliver top notch performances as expected. The new additions of Pacino and Barkin are also great, but it would have been better to see Pacino be a little more menacing. His character didn't feel nearly as threatening as he should have. The plot, like the other two is all sorts of twisty, turny, and convoluted, but not nearly as much as the previous entry, which is probably why this one is a tad bit better, that, and the fact that the story is good, motivations are good, and things are once again set in Vegas. Little gems like the return of "Claire de Lune" are also nice touches. What I love most about these films, besides the fun factor, is that you can tell everyone had fun making them, and also the high level of energy, style, and the sharp camera work, editing, and direction on display. I appreciate Soderbergh's more serious arthouse fare (what I've seen of it), but I like these more mainstream films too because they are I feel a necessary thing that needs to be done. Mainstream entertainment provides a necessary break from all the seriousness. In closing this is an all around fun romp, even though style trumps substance.

  Steven Soderbergh's third adventure with Danny Ocean and his crew is another success.<p><i>Ocean's Thirteen</i> is watchable without having seen <i>Ocean's Eleven</i> or <i>Ocean's Twelve</i>, so it is possible to jump right into this one; however, it is much easier to follow and pick up if the previous installments are viewed beforehand.</p><p>The film jumps right into the fun and never lets up, as every second of this 1 hour 50+ minute caper is a blast to watch. After all, most of the characters are already built up and there is a lot of detail to cover for a job as complex as this. The quirky style and fast pace are just the icing on an interestingly written story.</p><p>The all star cast eats up the film's budget, which it can afford, since there isn't a whole lot of CG or explosive action to worry about. George Clooney and Brad Pitt carry the film as the ringleaders of the bunch, while Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin step in as the victims this time around.</p><p><i>Ocean's Thirteen</i> has the entertainment value to make it a film to check out. This applies even more so to fans of Soderbergh's previous Ocean's films.</p>

  A great third installment and another fun story. This feels a lot more like the first without it being a regurgitation of the plot. The cast was all just as charming as ever and make for extremely entertaining robbers. Al Pacino also played a great crooked businessman.

  Wow, third time lucky! This is easily the best of the three films, its just unfortunate that you have to endure Ocean's 12 to really understand/appreciate it. Steven Soderbergh can be great at times but he seems to get lazy every other film. Not that I credit him for this being a good film, the cast pulling their socks up and the new writers are what saved and sealed this trilogy. At least I hope its a trilogy!
