April Snow was my first Korean romantic drama I have seen till now, and won't be my last. It has transformed my whole interest in that country's cinema to outright obsession. The simplicity and intimacy of the camera work took my interest and the two leads, the movie's only significant characters, held me there. Ye-jin Son and Yong-jun Bae moved me from one emotional scene to another as they found passion, revenge and perhaps love in each other. The question of how they could care for their adulterous spouses fell quickly away, through this tragedy and betrayal, they might have found something wonderful.
Although it was a sad movie but lovely and sensual, I highly recommend April Snow to those who have the slightest interest in Asian cinema.
Reminds me of the movie Random Hearts, with Harrison Ford and Kristin Scott Thomas.
