JACK NICHOLSON AT HIS BEST. END OF.
Manages to be a comedy, a horror and a tragedy without forcing the movie to become muddled. As poignant today as it was when it was released.
This is an old film but has certainly lasted the test of time and should be a must see for any new generation, i had the pleasure of watching this film at school as subject material. Jack Nicholson is a sane man brought into a mental institution for irratic behaviour, as his pass...( read more)
My all-time favorite performance of good ol' Jack as a free-spirited mental patient.
Interesting to see how badly patients were treated from sheer ignorance of mental illness. I liked the movie, but I'm not sure how it's ranked so high overall.
Excellent movie, full of emotion and nicely done. Nicholson did a great job of bringing his character to life, and keeping the viewer entertained. It was a well told story with a near heartbreaking end.
Perfecta. Ob...( read more)
As I see this film's achievements, 5 academy awards, several Golden Globes, and other film awards, this film cannot miss right? Right, it really can't miss. Almost everything is perfect in this film, especially the performances of on-screen rivals Nicholson and Fletcher, who both...( read more)
Forman's adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is incredibly moving, disturbing at times, yet wholly poweful.

"If he's crazy, what does that make you?"
With an insane asylum standing in for everyday society, Milos Forman's 1975 film adaptation of Ken Kesey's novel is a comically sharp indictment of the Establishment urge to conform. Playing crazy to avoid prison work detail, mani...( read more)
Gökboet är en film i högklass.
Den får en att vilja se om den om och om igen. Filmen förtjänade sin Oscar 1975 (Oscarsgalan 1976). Jack Nicholson gör sin bästa roll någonsin i denna underbara film som inte får missas.
Jack Nicholson IS crazy. This movie was perfect for him and his eyebrows.
I hated the nurse, Louise Fletcher did an amazing job, I wanted to kill her!
The pinnacle of Jack Nicholson's films, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is about work camp convict R.P. McMurphy (Nicholson) who ends up being evaluated for mental illness at an Oregon institution. The story follows how the individual personalities interact with each other. and t...( read more)
Amazing classic movie. KYONKI... IT'S FATE, a BOLLYWOOD movie is highly inspired by this one.
Also a highly appraised BOLLYWOOD movie named MUNNABHAI MBBS has borrowed too much from this movie.
On aime ou on adore, pour moi le choix est clair, j'en rafole! Grand Nicholson tu es mon préféré...
All of the characters are intriguing and engaging. The actors give a great performance and I gotta say I was unprepared for the ending.
ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST is so well done that I have trouble finding what's wrong with it. I know it's there, but I just can't put my finger on it.
Even though the film has its moments of brilliance, they're scattered through more than 2 hours of, dare I say, boredom?

This was really a one-man show. Jack Nicholson was awesome, and the rest of the cast made the movie believable. It was a really good film.
One of the many movies a friend has ruined by telling me the twist but it still needs to be seen.
This is my favourite movie of all time. But I can't actually say why. Everything about it is perfect, obviously. But sometimes I'll think 'I don't think it was that great, actually' and then I'll watch it again and fall in love with it all over again. Jack Nicholson is awesome an...( read more)
they are all the same in the cuckoo's nest. even those who don't take the pills... or maybe they should? sadistic, inhuman therapists weren't helping much i guess. where does the line between sanity and insanity goes? watch and draw your own conclusion.
brilliant acting
great story line
brilliant Jack nicholson is so convincing its scary
A brilliant allegory that appeals to the anarchist inside me. A legendary performance from Nicholson.
