Mark Romanek?s debut is unsurprisingly beautiful to look at but unfortunately, it?s style over content in this woefully average film.

SUPER creepy movie. I remember being freaked out for awhile after seeing this. It was kinda slow though.

Disturbing.Fairly well done, good actors and all, but it misses the point. The whole servant/master intimacy thing is interesting but it is quite a mundane anecdote. It is hardly more insightful than a junior high essay.

Adisturbing psychological thriller about a lonely Savmart Photo Technician that becomes obsessed with a family whose photos he's developed for years. So, imagine his shock and dismay when he discovers the husband and father of the household is cheating on his wife. That's when th...( read more)e movie really heats up, as Williams plays Sy so you feel creeped out, but slowly start to feel sorry for him as he goes overboard towards getting his own measure of revenge against him. Robin is the star of the film, so other's acting can't be critiqued too much as it's down to him and the unknowing wife. Not a classic by an means, but certainly one of Williams' best roles.

One of those movies that goes under the radar. The Robin Williams on the toilet scene should have won an award.

An ultimately unique take on the psychopath genre. It's subtle and quiet in all the right ways. As soon as your drawn into liking the main character you're instantly barraged with doubt about his intentions. Robin Williams was perfect for this role. Such an unusual step in his ca...( read more)reer. You needed a friendly face leading this picture. The subject matter is well worth mulling over. I thoroughly enjoyed the moral dilemma present towards the end. What's impressive to me is how well director Romanek can ratchet up the intensity seemingly whenever he wants. Worth a look undoubtedly.
