MCT:June 24, 2008Is it possible for a movie about a 16 year old with terminal cancer to be uplifting and life affirming and funny? Yes, Absolutely. This movie is amazing. It uses the rather simple premise and takes it in a completely unexpected direction. The characters are well written and multi faceted (save 2 or 3), and the plot really takes a backseat to the character development. The plot still moves and a lot happens, but the character development is amazing and spellbinding. Absolutely a must see!

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. One thing I didn't like was that the description read that the dying boy spent a time with an obnoxious supermodel, but he only spent the last few minutes of the movie with her. That was a little misleading. Overall, a great tearjerker. I really liked the cameo of Ethan Hawke playing the father who had previously passed away who kept making appearances showing his son he was watching out for him and they soon would be reunited.

I ABSOLUTELY love this film!
I know a lot of people say it's crappy, but its SO REAL! one of the realest fils I've ever seen. plus, really, really good morbid humour; LOVE IT! -
MCT:November 11, 2007This movie was a moving and funny comedy. I enjoyed this. It had an interesting sotry to it and i enjoyed it. You really felt for the boy and wanted the girl to fall for him. You felt like you were his friend and wanted to see him get his dying wish. I enjoyed this. Could have been written a bit better but the acting was real good.

definately not my movie, but it was a sad emotional movie. you knew how it would end, but it was still sad. I was impressed with Michael Angarano, he did a good job. Some laughs and what not, overall a pretty good film.
