Going slightly off the beaten track with this final fight for Mr Jaa, this third film is beautiful to look at just like the second but its very unusual with a strong spiritual theme. Following on from where number two left off we see how 'Tien' (Jaa) is supposedly killed but then reincarnated and starts to train himself back to full fighting capacity so he can finish his goal. Its a huge swing from the last two films as much of this film is kind of surreal with strong Buddhist imagery, Jaa being a Buddhist monk himself this film was obviously a chance to give a peek into his religion. The film isn't overly confusing but its slightly boring for the most part and feels like it just been made with outtakes from the last film, there is also the 'Crow Ghost' character who becomes the new enemy and offers, from a Western point of view, a more fantasy based feel and does look a bit like Lee from 'The Crow'. In the end it is possible to become tired of seeing Jaa thrash countless men and that it does, the finale is 'Tien' simply kicking the crap outta so many guys it becomes silly and dull, lovely camera work and lovely stunts/moves but by this point we have seen it all before, the novelty has worn off. That is the problem with this film, it feels rushed and like it was never meant to be, its also not really required as it should of finished with the second film.

An incredible and epic action classic. It's fast, furious and ferociously spectacular. Tony Jaa completes his journey in this stunning and final chapter to the beloved action series. The action sequences are second to none, they are amazing and will blow you away and knock you out. It's brilliant martial arts mastery that has to be seen. A breathtaking and unforgettable film. This movie has unbelievable energy that keeps your attention and your pulse pounding all the way to the end.

29/10/2010 (AVI FILE) I better watch it again cause I was a little lost a few times. This continues from "Ong-Bak 2" where it was left to be continued. The martial-arts is again staunch and brutal and quite a WOW-er for the eyes, and a lot of screwed facials for the pain. I personally feel that the first one was the the best of this trilogy however I'm glad I've seen all three. I expected too much I guess but it still was entertaining in the "Action Department" and maybe if I understood it a bit more I would of grasped the essence of this story. It's definitely a movie that is worth a nosy and although it may have lacked a little for me in the "understanding department" the Action sequences are extremely awesome!

This is the final showdown of the epic Ong Bak saga and the final film of Thai superstar Tony Jaa since he retired. How disappointed because I loved his martial arts films, these were amazing and awesome Jaa ever made in his own action sequences. The storyline in this third installment was almost non-existent, and whatever story was being told there was told in a really confusing and weird way, so it was difficult to make any sense of the movie. The action and fight scenes were top of the line, as always with Jaa movies. And there is something very dynamic and energetic to his movements and fighting style. As for the acting? Well, not much of that actually going on here, to be honest. It is mostly just showing off Tony Jaa and have these really cool images of ancient Thai traditions shown off on the movie. Honestly, I liked seeing those cultural scenes, but again, not really something that can carry a movie. I think Ong Bak 3 is pretty much as weak than the second part, except the story in this one is more confusing.

After reviewing Ong Bak 3 and seeing how horrible is was, I decided to get the third entry out of the way. I regret watching this with my friend. Ong Bak 3 picks up where Ong Bak 2 had left off. Tien is captured and almost beaten to death before he is saved and brought back to the Kana Khone villagers. There he is taught meditation and how to deal with his Karma, but very soon his arch rival returns challenging Tien for a final duel, and it's boring one too. I saw this with one of my friends and he kept asking me what was going, I honestly had no idea myslef as no actual story is told until a hour in. The poorly written story from Ong Bak 2 made Ong Bak 3 even more baffling bad. Why Tony Jaa did you have to write a story that takes a minute to summarize and it takes you a whole hour and a half to tell it. That's really awful if my summary is simply the whole movie with nothing interesting in between. The fight scenes are well done, but there is even less. Why Tony Jaa was allowed to write is baffling because the one good fight scene in this movie doesn't really happened, because somehow Tien rewinds times, and there's explanation on how he did that. To be honest, I rooting for the villains to kill Tien just so this movie could be over, unfortunately Tien lives and makes us suffer the longer the movie continues. Now since this was meant to be one movie, I will say it would have sucked even more. Ong Bak 2 had a terrible story, while Ong Bak 3 is a pointless sequel with no story. There some really baffling moments at the climax that will make you laugh like I did. For the nothingness that it's worth avoid the Ong Bak sequels, stick to the first one.

People going in to see Tony Jaa kick some ass are going to be seriously disappointed, as this is essential a film about Buddhist philosophy, it would be interesting to see this edited together with Ong Bak 2 as originally intended.
