Not ordinary, but a decent movie. Well above average but there were still some things that could have been better. I'm glad I watched it though, it was definitely worth it.
In this film Kevin Spacey is Michael Lynch, supposedly an 'ordinary, decent criminal'. He lives a good life with his two wives and children, making an income by robbing banks and stealing other expensive items. Behind him all the time wanting to convict Lynch is Noel Quigley, soon he becomes obsessed with bringing him down and putting him away for good. But Lynch is clever and can easily survive stuff like that, Quigley only needs evidence.
Kevin Spacey was pretty damn good for his role. I guess some of the cast was the downside, as the story was entertaining enough. But Spacey's performance was dynamite, only a few gaps here and there that could have used something else. Colin Farrell's part was small, I would have liked him to be more of a main character. And heck, I liked Vincent Regan even for his part. Nice cast, but sometimes it just didn't work with them together.
It's a clever movie that is easily entertaining and enjoyable. The ending is great, satisfying yet still left open. The accents started to get to me after a while, but hey, I survived watching the whole thing. -

"Michael just loves taking the law into his own hands!" kevin spacey disini terlihat santai, tidak seserius peran seperti di american beauty maupun se7en. mungkin setipe dengan ocean trilogy cuma lebih ringan. tapi kalau boleh memilih gw lebih mimilih film ini daripada ocean trilogy, yang jelas lebih ringan, fresh, menghibur, tapi tetap menarik dan kebanyakan film kevin spacey endingnya selalu bikin kita "nyengir" sambil bergumam...cerdik juga

I thought it was a fun and entertaining film. But 1: I don't usually go for the types of movies that glorify criminals and or sin, 2: the language was a constant through out and a big nuisance, and 3: there's full frontal male nudity in this film!!!!!!!!! Isn't this supposed to only be rated R???

I think if this had been based on a ture story the events would have seemed a little more intersting. Kevin Spacey plays a mastermind of a criminal, who is shared by his wife and her sister.
The only known Irish person in this film that I recognised was Colin Farrell, who played a relatively small part.
Interesting story, not very interestly told.
VERDICT: Worth a watch, but wait until it's on tv -

Despite that Colin Farrell's role as Alec is not big in this movie, it is still a rather nice watch. More time could be dedicated to the characters, though: they were not introduced well, and in the constant rain of names and flashes from different timelines, I at least got a bit confused. If you do not pay attention to that, then the movie is pretty enjoyable. Not outrageously funny or amazing, but one worth waching.

Aside from the fact that I love Kevin Spacey, this show is light and clever. There are violent police and robber conflicts which result in death but the movie does not focus on the losses. Excellent!

Good crime drama with Kevin Spacey playing a rather charming gangster.
It has a good mix of comedy & action aswell. Worth a look. -

Kevin Spacey here takes on the role of a lovable Irish gangster with a tendency to have his face on the media and to the chagrin of the police - evade the local constablury with clever and edgy twists and talk. A Surprising crime / comedy, its not Lock Stock but I love Irish based things!!
