Bleak, offbeat, depressing, heavy, intense and extremely well acted. It is a skillfully made film, with very good writing, interesting characters. It's a bit strange at times, like Kevin Anderson's character being so extreme, it didn't ring true. Worth a look.

Based on a play. Albert Finney was wonderful. An all time favorite for me.
