Segal proves his worth as one bad mutha you dont wanna mess with...skilled in hand to hand combat...this series is cliched and formula to the T, but still fun and entertaining..just don't think too deeply

Just one of those typical Segal movies where there's a bunch of bad guys that have done something bad so that Steve can go kick some ass and talk about how bad he had it growing up whilst doing the "steven segal pose".Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Someone wrongs Steven Seagal. Steven Seagal kills that guy. This movie gets 1 star alone just for the originality factor!

Typical Seagal early-90's movie with veteran actor John Forsythe as the bad guy this time and Gina Gershon and the late Jerry Orbach bringing up the rear in co-starring roles. this one is right up there with his best movies.

Brutal and full-on action film of the early 1990s that has some violent and well choreographed fight scenes. Forsythe as the evil and psychotic Ritchie gives a hateful performance and Seagal does a good job with his hands-on approach in tracking down the killer.

One of Seagal's best film in my mind. It's predictable, but the fight sequences and other elements do make it up for the story.Seagal's acting is even better than usual, believe or not,but it is really William Forsythe who steals the show with yet another intense, frightening performance as the main bad guy.And even if the story is predictable, there's still some tension in it,and it is well executed. As for the fight sequences themselves, there's actually only few of them, but boy are they brutal! If only for that, the film is worth seeing for any real Seagal fan,or even martial arts movies fans.

More of the same from Seagel. Definitely a winning formula for him in the 90s. Causes some real pain here. I like it!!!!!

(Whats wrong with the guys on this website, girls rating average is higher. What a bunch of wusses not to enjoys this film.)

despite the (now) seagal stigma, this is one of the better cast, less bone crushing films he did in his 'prime'.

No story but still good. Loved the fight scenes. Seagal shows he is the ultimate bad a** among all others in the movie. The black angel of death to all who take him on.

Here Seagal sports a horrible Brooklyn accent and an even more horrendous beret in a few scenes.Same plot as usual:Seagal gets pissed, snaps some wrists, kicks some asses, squints, the end.More of the same so bad it's good foolishness.

This movie is a riot. Seagal in his prime. The key to great Seagal is heavy dialogue, his NY accent in this is unreal.

This is one of the greatest unintentional comedies of all time. Seagal is absolutely brutal; committing as many, if not more, crimes than the villains he pursues. The scene in which he demolishes an entire bar and beats the shit out of its patrons because he deems them uncooperative is particularly funny.

Great performance by Seagal using the new york lingo, and William Forsythe who was perfectly casted as the crazed and junkie adversary. The film delivers hardcore action and some brutal scenes, while still succesfully maintaining the emotional effect of its plot.

Your typical totally stupid Seagal movie, complete with some impressive action sequences - will he ever get touched?

So amazingly cheesy with brilliant action scene's and one of the funniest end fights to a movie I've ever seen, did the writer watch an episode of Reeve's and Mortimer before they filmed it or what? Can't beat a shotgun to the knee for a cheap laugh either.

Some unintentionally funny moments amongst bone-breakings galore. (Seagal's character's name is "Gino Felino", for crying out loud!) The kind of Seagal film we know and love him for.

A very excellent Steven Seagal film, great action scenes. Steven Seagal as Gino Felino, a Brooklyn detective after a murderer Richie Madano, a drug addicted killer who known each other when their were kids. A great action film with great songs in the film.

    Steven Seagal is... Gino Fellini

Steve alternates between busting heads and waxing lyrical about the old days in his italian neighbourhood in Brooklyn as he goes after an old schoolfriend turned crazy crack-addled criminal who kills his best mate. Steve's cop is going through a divorce which you know is gonna make him even more pissed off than usual. This makes for passable entertainment with Steve's forte obviously being the inflicting of damage rather than acting. There are brief roles for Julianna Margulies, Gina Gershon and Jerry Orbach who are all pretty much underused, a weak climax where Steve takes out an overweight crackhead with his superior martial arts powers and a hilarious comedy ending resolving a subplot with a ditched puppy that Steve takes on board.

FSBCR: 0/5 for coats but 2 stars for a natty beret with some sort of military insignia on it.
