Another Kim Ki-duk film, another slap on the back from me. Again he takes complex relations and conflicting emotions and sets them up in an arena of great simplicity. It only goes to fully enhance the strengths, mainly being the performances and directing. A tad more dialogue than is… More
Another Kim Ki-duk film, another slap on the back from me. Again he takes complex relations and conflicting emotions and sets them up in an arena of great simplicity. It only goes to fully enhance the strengths, mainly being the performances and directing. A tad more dialogue than is usual from a Ki-duk film also helps for a more accessible piece. It's like another piece of chilled out poetry, completely absorbing without being brash and loud.
