A must for fans of the club kid scene, seth green, parties, drugs, and all around nutty flicks that are a boatload of barrels of monkeys.

This was a bad movie. I didn't like it even though you got to see his but it was no exuse for the bad movie. And i know it's true but i wish they didn't make a movie of it!=[

Surprsingly funny and touching, with some great narrative twists, with an borderline outstanding/atrocious performance from Macauley Culkin. Seth Green and Marylin Manson are awesome.
-
Odd and slightly disturbing based in reality movie. I'm not even sure I liked it lol, but I couldn't turn it off. Its one of those pieces you have to watch once for the experience.
-
another movie about effed up club kids . . . but decent for what it is. Culkin does a good arrogant twat
-
Creepy and uncomfortable to watch, but completely worth it to watch Seth Green as James St. James. Hilarious.

This film has flown in and out of my films to see list many times. Some say it's brilliant, others hate it. I could understand why you would want to feel either way about this film. I thought it wasn't at all bad. A true story that wasn't completely dull and you could still say this could never happen even when you know it did. I think my biggest reason for watching this film would be that it was Macaulay Culkin's first film for a long time. And what a choice it was. I don't think he could have got any further from the characters he played as a child as he did in this film. He really was pretty good as well. Together with Seth Green, they made an excellent pair which held the film together well. It probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but I think I recommend at least giving it one shot. If only to see Culkin in a proper role.

Bizare. I really didnt get the point. Honestly it was mostly just a bunch of weird people doing drugs 24/7. Weird!
-
this was a decent film. i wanted to kill culkin's character. he was so annoying and very stupid. chloe sevigny amazed me as she always does. i give a minor recomendation for thisa film. if you like marilyn manson, he gives a small, yet funny, performance.

I loved Seth Green, I hated Culkin.. but then again I guess it was his job to be annoying. Loved the soundtrack! this is one of those "true stories" about drugs and parties.
-
Seth Green as James st. James and Culkin as Michael Alig?! What a great pair. If you haven't seen it, put on your glitter and go rent or buy it!!
-
This movie displays the brilliant acting styles of Seth Green, his best role yet. A must see movie for fans of underground cult movies.
-
A brillant and visually stunning movie. Party Monster is disturbing without being extremely graphic. Being based on the memoir "Disco Bloodbath" by James St. James, this film has a hauntingly releastic qualilty like nothing else I have ever seen before.

For now not to bothered for this...uninterested... Liked what Rachael put :P

An ocean full of glitter, drugs and blood. It's like watching the gayest ballet on Earth... on crack. It's wicked, twisted, sick, messy, crappy, wonderful and groundbreaking. The performances are magnificent and even if it IS Macaulay's movie, Seth Green steals his thunder with charm and elegance. The characters are fabulous and the screenplay takes you by the hand and goes nuts all over the place.
It's as great as the smile of a drag queen when somebody buys her a pair of stilettos for her birthday... with a brand-new Madonna wig on the side. -
Not that great but at least entertaining. Seth Green's characterization of James St James it's the best of the movie
-
odd movie. i watched this on a weekend in 2004 of very bad events that occured in "life" ... so maybe that is why it left me with a negative vibe
-
A great illustration of 'Disco Bloodbath'. Macaulay was expecially notable. This movie is so raw I think it's brilliant.

Another crazy tale that could only be as twisted as reality can be. I wish they would have shot more scenes during the events that the Club Kids had put on. Love the "Money, Success, Fame, Glamour" scene!! Much praise to this perfect cast. If you watch the documentary that this film is based on, you will notice that it is practically word for word with the actual Club Kids. Marilyn Manson is exceptionally warped in this one. Just like "Alpha Dog," another senseless crime by some seriously tweeked out humans. Good film though.

Damn I miss Limelight, those were the dayz!! Still does not stop me from going to church on Sunday nights though hehe
-
to be frank this movie is actually amazing. the story is so well-written and really shows the mentality of the characters. thats my favorite thing about it. it's also fun and totally crazy and the acting is superb.
-
this movie makes u want to party then say the hell with that so weird ass scenes from home alone years
-
Not sure about the casting choices here. I think Culkin and Green's exaggerated effeminity was overcompensating for their complete inability to act. The excessive costumes and make-up also helped cover their wooden faces.
-
Extremely suprised at how interesting i was in this film. Seth green rocked it and macauly plays a wonderful homosexual. Boy was i in aw by u in this movie, boy was i in aw! I love this movie.
