July 17, 2009Silly story, obvious happy-ending, but Jason Isaacs, as usual, made it worth watching. And his attempts on speaking portuguese were simply lmfao!

February 27, 2009a nice depiction of the portuguese culture in America, brought there by the luso immigrants. it made me even more proud of my country's culture, traditions, and cuisine. now, the story itself...eh. its like any other romantic story we got used to see on the big screen.

May 7, 2008This movie wasn't something I would have normally watch. I was surprised how well written story and the acting was excellent. I would recommend as one of those movies to see on a rainy day.

March 18, 2008i love this film! i watch anything i can find with jason isaacs in it anyway because he's so talented and a nice guy whether the film is bad or not i have to watch but this film is just great too :D really enjoyed it, great acting all round.
