Paziraie sadeh (Modest Reception)
A man and a woman drive an SUV through a mountainous area of Iran. Their trunk is filled with plastic bags stuffed with money, which they offer to the poor people they encounter. But they're not good Samaritans, but Satanic tempters. Before giving the money, the couple put their would-be beneficiaries through odd tests or require them to perform a degrading or immoral act. As they continue on their route, their demands get progressively more outrageous.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Director/star Mani Haghighi keeps us on our toes, confronting our own perceptions of materialism, hardship and our sense of what is fundamentally correct."
‑ Jamie S. Rich, Oregonian
"...the filmmaker keeps you wondering to the end as to just what they are up to. Somehow, the ambiguity is satisfying."
‑ Robin Clifford, Reeling Reviews
"Haghighi is a sophisticated new voice, one who can keep us riveted to his screen as he balances comedy and tragedy while wrapping an enigma in a mystery."
‑ Laura Clifford, Reeling Reviews
