I loved this movie. It was so good. I love James McAvoy and he was so good in this movie. Also the movie sends a great message and is one chick flick I can watch over again....
A horrible, over-the-top movie that could've been so much better! Its "moral" completely belly-flopped in a pivotal scene. If P was so happy the way she was, why did she suddenly turn "beautiful"?
Here's a little bit of trivia for you :) James's role, was going to be play by Hayden Christensen originally. Although, I like him, I think James would and did do a much better job.
a very cute movie. i like the atypical ending. although i thought it could have shown more scenes of penelope's experience in the outside world, more of her and reese witherspoon and james mcavoy.
Ok maybe not a four star film, but James McAvoy bumps it up.
A sweet, cute film with an amazing cast who give outstanding performances. James McAvoy is lovely as always, and a few cameo appearances make it worth while.
The only problmes with the film, Christina Ricci is in no way shape or form ugly, she is just a pretty girl with a snout! And come on, if you had the choice of being ugly forever but married to James McAvoy, or being beautful but giving up a lifetime with the beauty of Mr McAvoy, which one would you choose?
one star shy of a full house due to the much too fast pacing and lack of development. nice twist to the end with brilliant actors and christina ricci outdoing the rest. didn't really need the epilogue thou'.
One of the most magical amazing movies i have ever seen. Amazing cast,great characters,stunning costumes,lovely storyline,visually beautiful. Everything about it was perfect.
A good romance/comedy/fantasy film. Even if the romantic story isn't all that heart melting, the movie still manages to be quite entertaining due to the good acting from the cast members and some comic momnts. The story is another mother version of a fairytale therefore quite perdictable but still entertainning enough.
A fantastic movie that is a definite favorite. It contains many important messages about our daily life and is funny at the same time. :) The most important message is that we should not judge people by their appearance. As people do in this movie!
What I dont get it what's so wrong with her nose?? It's only slightly larger then normal! It was cute and funny and all but not the best movie ever. I'd class it as "watch it when your bored movie"!
brilliant film , great acting by all , loved all the cameos by english actors , great story , great idea , good family film,but still enjoyed by adults
Penelope was a very good and cute movie all at the same time. The cinematography is good. The acting is spot on. The main problem with the film that it has too much in it. There are so many stories, though minor, but they are somehow left undone. But this film takes some interesting twists that I didn't see coming which takes it beyond the level of a kid's film or even your basic romantic comedy.
well... another movie on the plane. it's really not bad although i'm not kinda like fairytale stories.. but wif the presence of James McAvoy & Reese Witherspoon, everything changes!
this movie is cute. really had me from start to finish. also, i didnt see some things coming so, uhh...had..a ..good...twist? lol but yeah i enjoyed it.
