  Thinks it's Martin McDonagh but it's actually a crap (crappier) Guy Richie but without the camera tricks. Tiresome, seen it all before, waist of good actors (Cillian Murphy not included) nonsense. The balance of comedy and drama doesn't work, it's no where near black/dark comedy enough to be taken seriously or find funny. How many script reviews did they have or did they just go with the first draft of everything and start shooting?

  simple, strait narrative with few surprises, but highly entertaining. the film held a solid tension between the dramatic and the amusing. the end was a bit silly, but overall the film had character. very good watch.

  This movie is totally awesome to watch. A wickedly hilarious and explosively entertaining crime-thriller that's just a pure joy. It's fast-paced, terrifically original and vastly enjoyable with enough twist and action to go around. A dazzling crime flick that packs alot of heat as well as humor and strongly committed performances from it's wonderful cast. A tremendously enjoyable and very funny action-packed comic thriller that has loving every minute. The best Irish crime film since In Bruge. It's like a Guy Ritchie movie, except only smarter. The all-cast is just wonderful in their roles. Cillian Murphy is fantastic. Brendan Gleeson is excellent as always. Jim Broadbent is marvelous, he's brilliant in this role whether he's tackling comedy or the dramatic side of the character. A full-clip of fun from start to finish.

  "Perrier's Bounty" starts with Michael McCrea(Cillian Murphy) waking up with a hangover to the unappealing sight of Ivan(Michael McElhatton) and Orlando(Don Wycherley) promising to break his legs if he does not pay them the money he owes to their boss Perrier(Brendan Gleeson) in four hours. Michael does not take any money from his friend Brenda(Jodie Whittaker) because she has enough problems with her pond scum boyfriend Shamie(Padraic Delaney). Michael's father(Jim Broadbent) does not have it either. Regardless, he is dying of cancer which is the first Michael is hearing about it. Neither does The Mutt(Liam Cunningham) but he does know of a breaking and entering job that night if he wants in. Highlighted by a great cast in fine form, "Perrier's Bounty" is a daftly entertaining black comedy that raises some intriguing questions about fate. Namely, is it better to fight it to one's dying breath or maybe just give up? Along these same lines, there are two dei ex machina in the movie. The first one happens because this would be a rather short movie otherwise. There really is no reason for the other one. In any case, this is set in a Dublin without law or order where the police are little use and hardly intimidating, unlike parking enforcement officers. That just goes to show you that there are some people you should never mess with.

  What starts off as an English thriller with huge potential, "Perrier's Bounty" slowly fades into a been-there-done-that chase-caper with no real flair minus the quirk added by the British factor, vaguely reminiscent of fellow Brit film, "In Bruges". With leading men like Cillian Murphy and Brendan Gleeson, I expected a huge pay off and performances we often do not see from them. I was partially right, as we hardly see Gleeson at all. And Murphy's character, the misunderstood, rag-tagger on the run is hardly leading character caliber. A script that needed another round of revisions, this film lacks everything promised by the presence of the prominent and respected actors on the film's poster.

  The catchy story and the ensemble of first class actors are not enough to even classify this as an interesting film. It felt as if there was no pulse and I am a bit sorry I got someone else to watch it with me.

  This movie is just an Irish attempt to make a Hollywood movie. I suppose overall it was entertaining but as an Irishman i thought i was going to enjoy this a lot more.Perrier's Bounty is really nothing special and its definitely nothing new. Cillian Murphy plays Michael McCrea,a man who owes a large amount of money to crime lord Dareen Perrier(Brendan Gleeson).And if he doesn't pay the money by the dead line, McCrea will be Killed.And thats the whole story line in a nutshell and as you can see it really is nothing original. I will start with what i liked about it.To be honest there was never a dull moment,i was never waiting it to end(but maybe thats just because it's less than an hour and a half).It was just a bit of fun and thats why i gave it a fresh rating.There were a few funny moments,namely thanks to Jim Broadbent.Gleeson and Broadbent were good to watch as well. Now there Is also a lot wrong with this movie as well.While i was entertained the plot was just too basic and uninteresting. The pathetic attempt at character development didn't help matters either.Sometimes the attempts at laughter made me cringe at the epic fail. There was also to much Dublin slang used, I mean i'm from Dublin and didn't even understand half of it.The movie needed to be at least 20 minutes longer for me. 6/10 barely fresh.Now i don't know if you have even heard of this movie but its not really worth tracking down.

  "Perrier's Bounty" is a well-made caper flick that is neither too funny nor too action-y. Its first half is great and inventive, but the second half is predictable and unfocused, with a conclusion that is ridiculous altogether. The biggest problem that "Perrier's Bounty" has is its script, which is lazy and unmotivated. Acting is great all around, especially from Cillian Murphy, but nothing can make up for a derivative and clumsy screenplay.

  Great little Oirish gangster flick. Murphy plays the waster part very well and the story had me gripped throughout. Jim Broadbent tried hard with the Irish accent and Brendan Gleeson was his usual, excellent self. It had a feeling of In Brugges but wasnt quite as good as that.
