Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"It's possible to make a great movie out of family dysfunction, but this one is too short on insight to rank with the best of the genre."
‑ Neil Genzlinger, New York Times
"Dysfunctional-family farce which, as a comedy, doesn't function at all."
‑ David Noh, Film Journal International
"The movie is never deeper than the average sitcom episode ... which makes Lahti's A-game that much more valuable."
‑ Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News
"Petunia augurs more titillation than it delivers and only works occasionally."
‑ Rex Reed, New York Observer
