Juan Piquer Simon's "Pieces" is one of the most hilarious slasher movies ever made.In the early 1940's a little boy is caught by his mother while he is assembling a puzzle with a naked lady on it.The boy gets mad when his mother takes his puzzle,so he kills her with an axe.40 years later somebody butchers random college chicks with a chainsaw."Pieces" is a highly entertaining gore trash filled with enough blood to satisfy horror fans. There is for example a lopped off arm,a severed flying head and a knife through the mouth murder scene. The ending is incredibly surprising and hysterical. There is also a violent kung fu teacher and death by mirror. So if you're a slasher/giallo fan give this one a look-you won't be disappointed.
This movie is so beyond bad ...Aside from the over-acting & REALLY BAD DUBBING...it has some really fresh (for it's time)"GORE SCORE"...No doubt this belongs in the horror hall of shame...may it burn in hell
A movie titled "Pieces", with a picture of a chainsaw on the cover above a tag line that reads "it's exactly what it sounds like"?! Sadly my torrent has been stuck at 97.7% for the last month, and I'm poor. :-(
Pieces is one of those flicks with plenty of gore, silly moments, bad dubbing, bad dialogue & it might give a reason for people to find it hilarious but others will probably will hate it.Personally i think is trash from the 80's.
insane, dopey, sleazy, ridicilous but still very entertaining horror film from 1983. christopher george is rather enjoyable in the film, i dunno. it's not a movie everyone will get a kick out of but i really liked it.
This movie was garbage (classic bad acting/script/direction, etc. etc.). If you enjoy garbage, then you'll likely enjoy it. Only thing I remember about it is that the killer sneaks a chainsaw onto an elevator. Behind his back (not underneath a trenchcoat or anything.)
THIS is a horror movie. Absolutely stomach-churning storyline, just horrid. This is how it SHOULD be done. No good acting, no comic relief, disgusting storyline, gross death scenes.
I love pieces to pieces. With crazed kung fu teachers, crotch-grabbing corpses, chainsaw massacres and Bluto, if you don't like this film you should really take a long, hard look in the mirror. And try not to spit in disgust at your reflection.
A hilarious camp classic. One of the most unintentionally funny movies of the 80s! I had to stop the movie for 10 minutes because I broke out laughing in the first scene, where the little boy chops her mother up with an axe. Really awesome gore, and lots of nice gratuitious nudity.
Best viewed as a Cult Classic and not a serious Horror flick (Although there's plenty of blood, gore and murder to go around). When a little kid kills his mother in the first scene you know you're in for a gut-wrencher of a movie. Hilariously dubbed into English, some of the quotes in this are hilarious "Bastard!Bastard!Bastard!Bastard!" Classic!
Bloody, gory, sloppy, campy and un-intentionally funny are ways to describe this slasher flic. Terrible writing, acting, directing, dialogue and camera work are all here. But then again, what else would you expect from an 80's horror/slasher movie? Uniquely violent sequences, an intense opening frame and appearances from good looking college ladies as well as Linda Day George make up for the slack.
