Horrible, some good action scenes obviously though, since it's Jackie Chan.

Jackie made this back in 1995, right after Rumble in the Bronx. It took about ten years for it to be released stateside, and I can't say there was a huge demand for it. Thunderbolt is slow, the plot suffers from the sense that it was being put together as the makers went along. S...( read more)hort on action scenes, the car racing scenes are ludicrous, and it is very uneven. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this as a great movie from Chan, but he's definitely done a lot worse in the thirteen years since.

Jackie Chan plays a race car driver who has his sister kidnapped by some bad guy he helped put away. If Jackie beats the bad guy in a race, he gets his sister back.
It's a Jackie Chan movie so, the plot doesn't really matter. The fight scenes are fun and innovative (one of them...( read more) taking place in a casino was pretty awesome) and the stunts were jaw dropping. And while the fights and stunt scenes are great, there just isn't very many of them in this movie.
Jackie has better movies out there but, this one is still worth checking out.

ive got to say its one of the best jackie chan movies i have seen. the racing was a little fake but was still very cool. the stunt coordination was some of the best ever and the budget for the movie was obiviously pretty big becuase of all the things they destroyed and all the ca...( read more)rs they got for the movie. on the negative side, jackie didnt have as much hand to hand fight scenes like in a lot of his other movies, but i thought the fight scene at their garage made up for it.
