Apparently originally filmed as a worshipful tribute to its star Bobby Kendall, it had to be later trimmed by editor Martin Jay Sadoff due to the cameraman/director's refusal to cut any portion of it. Basically, it shows Kendall again and again in many different settings and guises and focuses lovingly on portions of his anatomy (especially his well-formed backside), teasingly promising to show him frontally. All settings, whether indoors or out, are indicated by cartoon-like handmade props; the film has a rococo quality which made it successful in arthouse showings. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi

Critic Reviews
-
Rich Cline, Shadows on the Wall
A bracing, gorgeous combination of beefcake images, artworld photography and experimental cinema that's essential for any true film fan.
-
Ken Hanke, Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)
Pretentious tripe.
-
Matt Bailey, Not Coming to a Theater Near You
In addition to its intense, lyrical eroticism and fantastic beauty, the film evokes a genuine sense of sadness for its hero who remains the proverbial bird in a gilded cage.
