OMGosh! I saw it the first day it was out! It was soooo amazing! The cliffy sucks, but I think a lot was accomplished! Predictions- In movie one- she got orlando, In movie two- she got (mmmmmm yummy mmmmmm) Mr. Depp himself!, and so in movie three- she must get norrington- like it was supposed to be in the first place! Yay for norrington!
Wow, i went to see this movie at the first showin, at midnight. After it was done my friend and I were so upset because it didnt really end, and it left Will wondering if Elizabeth still loves him and i thought that was just an awful place to stop, and so much of the movie doesnt make too much sense logically. After the initial shock wore off i decided this is a very good movie and after the 3rd on comes out im sure ill appreciate it so much more. The humor was amazing and Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are my favorite male actors, and not just because they're hot either!
it was brilliant. very different to the first one. it was soooooo much darker than the first. there were some very grusome moments in DMC. it dark and scary from the opening scene to the last. Bloody Brilliant!!!! can't wait for the DVD

Dead Man's Chest, I would have to say, would be a complete flop without having the thousands of devoted fans from The Curse of the Black Pearl.There is very little accomplished in the movie, aside from tons of special effects and fight scenes.I do not recommend bringing a younger child to see this movie due to things such as the octopus-like Davy Jones and his crew that is turning into coral, a man gets his eyes pecked out by crows, and the Kraker.The Kraker is a gigantic octopus that gets awoken by Davy Jones and his crew to rip men from their ships and eventually break the ship in two and take it to the bottom of the ocean.There are points in the movie that they dragged on way longer than necessary, such as when Jack, Will, and Norrington are fighting for about 10 minutes.Elizabeth is rather promiscuous with Jack, and Will is left wondering if Elizabeth is still in love with him.The ending is like so many of the series on television, but we have to wait over a year for the conclusion
now, this could just be post-movie jitters (having seen it just an hour ago) but i have to say. absolutely bloody amazing! i adored the first one; i was one of the first in the cinema the day it came out, and i was hesitant as the prospect of a sequel. what if it ruins the characters ive come to know and love? what if they make a mokery of the first one? what if its just plain... bad?! but oh joy upon joys, i was wrong. this movie is better than the first, i think, and left it open for a sequel nicely. (due to trump cards i bought, i already knew of barbossa's return; i didnt actually realise it was RIGHT at the end though XD; ) i spent a good 5 minutes sitting there in anger because it ended. XD anyway, EVALUATION: storyline: good. johnny: superb as usual. orlando: delightfully bland. as usual. keira: BITCH?! other characters: lovely! i adore pintel and ragetti <3 it was a lot darker than the first one though, and i think kids might not enjoy it as much... and the pan of the camera that zooms into jack as a cannibal god? PERFECT all in all, go see it, savvy?
didnt think it was as good as the first one. quite a lot of pointless scenes in this film that didnt need to be there, Depps one liners are still top notch, but parts of the film are quite tedius and in parts almost too childish, if this film (and the first one for that) were to take themselves more seriously (heres hoping for the 3rd) then they would be far more enjoyable. a good sequel, but doesnt add anything new that the first one didnt already cover
omg saw it again still good even better lol I love the storyline and so much happening...love johnny of course "wheres thump thump!" orlandos weak like normal but he'll get there in the end still like him he just can't take charge and is the only character thats not beliveable (sp?)
How the hell this movie got a PG-13 rating is beyond me. It's an R rated movie if there ever was one. It's alot like the first one...but alot darker...more violent...I wouldn't take young children to see this one. My wife and I went to see this at the midnight showing.

I saw the midnight show last night and it was really good. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. the ending is a little comfusing.

Also Dont rate something if u havent seen it! What if it bombed? I would be very angry if they stuffed this one up though sometimes movie makers dont know when to stop and money isnt more important than stuffing up a movie. Im happy they didnt stuff this one up! I love it
Okay well I saw it on Monday! And I can't wait to see it again. I thought nothing could EVER top POTC because its so awesome and Jacks da bomb. But now I have seen this its awesome I loved it I can't really say which ones better because the first one was a new thing and great story sorting out everyones character. Now this one is right into their charcter and onto the story. I thought nearly everything Jack did was such a crack up and classic! I love JOhnny to bits I mean who else could create and pull off a part like that? No one! So yeah loved it and I am as obsessed as the other one now. Cant wait until the next loved Barbossa coming in at the end. And the whole cooking johnny seen was awesome so funny and all the pirates stuck in the ball and clumbing up the wall was funny as...
All you people saying it will be good because the first 1 is good are stupid, hardly any sequel lives up to its first movie. Anyway I have seen this film and it is nowhere near as good as the first film
This is Sad, Ppl rating movies b4 they Even come out. It would be funny if this movie Actually sucked and all those ppl dat expected something amazing just drop the stars, that ought'be Priceless. And no, im not hating im just saying, dont rate movies cuz u THINK they are good, its like rating The GodFather or The Shawshank Redemption with a 1 only Because u dont wanna see it while u dont know ur missing one of the best movies of all time, dats sad and pathetic, dats why they got the NOT INTERESTED AND WANT TO SEE Buttons. Jeez. Oh yeah i forget to say, EVERY1 was soo crazy about War Of the Worlds and stuff, OMFG THE TRAILER LOOKS SICK! lol, and half of the ppl hated it. i personally loved it. Take this in mind, it will teach u something.
P.S--I do think its gonna be great only because The 1st one didnt live up to my Expectations, Extremely Overrated. so i hope this brings it up. Johnny Depp Can do better than this.

Rate some movies you've seen, then come back and rate Pirates 2 after you've seen it. Have a little patience. Otherwise, you're totally skewing the Flixster rating system. Why wouldn't you just click "want to see it" like everyone else?
Fortunately though, you all might turn out to be right, but preliminary reports are showing less than a 5-Star effort, just wait.
