Ironically, although the Supreme Court's 1955 Brown v. Board of Education decision embodied a massive leap forward in the crusade for human rights, racial integration and equality, it had at least one unforeseen drawback: it resulted in the immediate closure of a remarkable institution known as the Bordentown School.
