Plaga Zombie - Mutant Zone puts the low in low budget. Anyone interested in seeing it should know that up front.
The movie plays out kind of like a homage to old Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson's low budget flicks.
With the exception of the pro-wrestling character and his theme song "John West! John West! He is the best!" I found most of the characters uninteresting and the humor fell pretty flat.
It looks like they had fun making it, but overall I didn't have that much fun watching it.
Argetinian indie zombie crazyness! The gore is plentyful and the zombies looks wicked, and one of them is using it's own intestines as a weapon, for a very messy result. Luckily the characters are as flippin crazy as can be desired, so the zombies doesn't steal the picture.
As cheesy as Return of the Living Dead with gore as creative and well done as in Dead Alive. The characters were excellent and made for some great comedy, as did the zombies. Some of the facial expressions alone made me laugh.
Here we got what i would call the Argentian Dead Alive. Goofy horror movie with tons and tons of gore, acting that ranges from good to bad and lotsa cheese! not only are the characters funny but you have no choice but to root for them in any situation! U wont see a Land of the Dead here but if you like Dead Alive (although I think Plaga Zombie is way better) then u'll love this one!
The alternative spanish version of Dead Alive not as good but have the same elements of humor & gore.
Low budget splatstick comedy from Argentina plays like one long Three Stooges short drenched in Bile ,blood and Poo.It's all derived from the Evil Dead and the early Peter Jackson films but it has it's own latin flavor and works like a charm.Aliens use earth as a test ground for a virus in cahoots with the FBI. When the virus mutates cause icky zombies to appear a wrestler,a med student and a Math whiz are dumped in the mutant zone to see if they can survive.Really gross but a good dumb laugh fest and bloody as Hell.
"jon west, jon west"i love this film. i didnt expect too much going into it but after it ended i wanted to watch it again and you will too buy it now!!!!
this shows you...mexican kids can make great fucking movies and better and more action filled then shit you see in theaters in amerca...do yourself a favor...go to amazon and buy this mother fucker and the best part...it also comes with part 1!!! wich is cool but not as insane as part 2 but of course watch 1 THEN 2 since they are connected and take place where the last one left off ENJOY!
Yes, yes, yes! Brilliant & stupid & insane & never slowing down (apart from an essential musical interlude with the great John West).
The (excellent value) R1 DVD has the first film (just 'Plaga Zombie') as a bonus and although there's a big leap in ability between the two films, it never outstays its 65 minute running time.
